Just become an organ donor

I should sign up really. I have an irrational fear though. What if you're seriously injured, a doctor could save you but thinks to himself "I could let him live or he could die and X amount of people live from his organs". It wouldn't surprise me if that has happened.

A doctor wouldn't let you die.

It will go down bad on his record to have a death on it, it might effect future job opportunity's for him.

And IIRC they cheap organ donors breathing as long as possible because if they organ donor stops breathing then there are a few organs that cant be used.

The vast majority wouldn't but you have some bad apples in all walks of life and to be fair I can see the logic behind it.

Really? That seems a little harsh on doctors who just get unlucky with the patients they're given.

I didn't sign up for this when I sent away for my provisional licence sadly, I wish I did. The thought of getting all my organs taken out scared me a bit, i'll have to register for it some time.

Do it now mate! Its so quick!

The thing that gets me thinking is I assume the organs are going to help someone worth helping, not some crack addict who's throwing away life! I guess you could argue that every life is equal.

Drug addicts, Smokers and binge Drinkers are way below on the list of people who can recieve.

They normally go to people with healthy life styles and have the best chance of survival.:)

Thanks to everyone who's signed up to be a donor, I am, as are all of my family. A donor is the only reason my Dad didn't die when I was 16 (I'm 32 now and he's still going strong) so thank you all very much!

Plus for some of you ugly sods it might be the only way you'll get your meat into a nice young lady!:p
