Aah no way, we may have crossed paths as I used to be back and forth between the mock branch and the data centre late evenings when we touched the ATM software.

The majority of on-call would be expected to answer the call straight away, however people have lives and need to shower or **** or **** etc so there is no strictness to it, higher category have 24/7 on site support (usually tasked by ops themselves) with a nice call out list of any experts they need to wake up.



I was meant to be accessible to a HQ within 1hr, in 10 years I never needed to go in. I have had a call out from before I actually arrived home until the evening batch of the following day but generally they were only a couple hour call outs with the odd 4/5hour jobs, pretty much daily though.
