Doesn't really affect the debate, the ZS isn't included so it's like testing a Ferrari vs a Megane and saying a Focus is better.

Just more in reply to your comment on it having too much bodyroll rather than a comparison to the zetec-S.

End of the day each owner is going to stick up for their own car and the VTR and Zetec-S are very similar in terms of fun factor, performance, cornering speed, insurance group etc etc. Neither car can be described as bad handling, and the saxo might rattle but then the fiesta will rust. Swings and roundabouts. The VTS however is another step up on them, which was my original point.

Anyway get your arses to a track day and I'll come :)

Haha, can't really reply to that comment. lol. I will definately be up for a track day involving a some warm hatches!

The grill badge on my ZS is half peeled off somehow so I'm either looking at replacing it (with a refurbed black one or red) or taking it off, opinions?

Your ZS is a W reg (2000) same as mine.
It is a phase 1 so the front grill should be made of stainless steel and the Ford badge is removable (unlike the Phase 2's).

Go to Ford and buy a new front grill badge and an adaptor plate (fits on the back to allow the badge to sit on the curved grill.

I'm not sure if the adaptor plate can be reused from your current grill badge.

Dont de badge the front grill. My silver ZS was de badged and it just looks 'odd'.

Best to ask on ZSOC as i am not 100% sure.

Although I will be changing car in the next month or so, but I'm sure my mate wouldn't mind me taking his vtr for a few laps ;)

ah you seen the light at the end of the tunnel then... ditching the saxo for a ZS... good choice! :p :D

you know it makes sense! ;)

Well, had it a few days now and my god its fun! Only gripes I have are the seats are very uncomfortable, much harder than the 106 and 306 I had, bit to hard but will get used to it when I get a comfortable position. The next one is personal to the car, the girl before me put **** Sony Xplod 6x9's in the parcel shelf and they aren't connected properly and 'flap' abit at low/mid volume so they will be coming out and replaced by some 13cm speakers in the original position and a 10" sub in the boot. Also steering wheel shakes at 60+ so will be getting the tracking done today.

Great car to drive, just gettin used to it so not booted it hard. Just so much fun that I keep grinning when I'm driving it.

Will get some pictures later and will give the car a good clean and sort it all out this week as I have a week off work!

RY if the steering wheel is shaking get them to look at the balancing of the wheels, thats what solved the problem on myn :)

Refrence the system , if you have enough money go for the Exhaust / Cat / 421 Manifold, will get a decent power gain and it sounds FANTASTIC ! ( Expensive tho :( )

Haha, nnah not at 5.15! Went up there last night (assuming you know where it is) and there was 2 cars up there 'admiring' the great view. Was going to take pics of the car there last night so that's why I went :o :p

Yeah, it's very 'popular' up there :o

What are the seats like? If they're like mine then yeah not very comfortable and quite small. I was going to get the seating mounts lowered, but can't be bothered.

Get it introduced to some proper roads though ;)

Seats seem very hard and quite high. Size wise they are fine as I've not got the biggest frame (only 10st8). Just need to adapt to them I think.

Need to show it some proper roads I know, where do you recommend? I know the area very well, Denbigh way via the bends, dyserth bends and all the back roads. Want some nice pics too :P

One of my favourite roads is the back way to betws-y-coed, go straight through betws and you head into some glacial valleys. Awesome surroundings, and most of the caravanners have gone home now ;)
