ok well i checked in my BIOS, and its more or less the exact same readings, is BIOS more accurate?fornowagain said:Sorry tech speak, Digital MultiMeter
You can't be sure the software monitor is correct, they can be miles out. But the 12v you give there looks low.
ok coolfornowagain said:Nope, polls the same sensors as the monitor apps.
With LED's, OCZ 520w? I'd recommend voltage stability more than lights
Wait and see, if it's not up to it, it'll be the overclock that does it.
fornowagain said:Looks cool? I'd prefer that it runs the rig. But each to their own. Silverstone Strider ST60F, £90?. There's a few, but dual core + crossfire is the highest PC power consumption so read up.

IIRC Not a power issue. That was a rail cross-loading problem and it was fixed on the next revision.Final8y said:I had the Silverstone ZEUS ST65ZF wich is a higher rated PSU at 650 watts, it could not cope with crossfire 2x1900xt it would shutdown after 2 mins.
extremetech said:"512MB gaming cards in SLI/CrossFire will pull anywhere from around 15A to slightly over 20A (taking 120W divided by 12V = 10A per card) meaning that our +12V3 rail was overloaded as it has to share the power draw from the motherboard as well (which typically draws around 2 ~ 3A on its own). Since we rate our power supplies conservatively, the ST60F could actually run Kelt's 7800GTX 512MB SLI system for a while despite being technically overloaded on the +12V3 rail. As soon as the over current protection point of 20A on the +12V3 is reached, the power will automatically shut down.
To prevent this from happening again, we will make the following change to ST65ZF and ST60F:
+12V1(13A) : CPU1
+12V2(18A) : CPU2+SATA
+12V3(16A) : MB+VGA1
+12V4(18A) : HDD+VGA2
SILVERSTONE said:The original version of ST65ZF is capable powering a fully loaded Multi-GPU system equipped with either 7800GTX 256MB or X850XT 256MB. This version of power supply can be identified by the surface coating, which have “shinny” galvanized coating.
Newly revised ST65ZF(released in summer 2005)and all ST60F are capable of supporting fully loaded Multi-GPU systems running 7800GTX 512MB or X1900XTX cards if 4pin to 6pin PCI-E adapter is used on one of the cards. These can be easily identified from the original ST65ZF by its surface coating, they have a flat, black paint finish as opposed to galvanized coating.
