i've read that steam integration breaks some mods and can occasionally cause crashes, how much of an issue is this?
 
two of my keys CS/CoP did redeem on GOG but SoC did not, was wondering if i should buy SoC again for GOG...

Just found the antenna/brain scorcher. Man, the path through the Red Forrest (awesome) and approach to this place was tough!! I haven't died this many times in a game since Megaman 2!
 
Just downloaded this again after doing my knee ligaments so i'm stuck inside for some time!

Trying to install mods, tried Autumn Aurora and Pripryat Reborn so far. After installing either one the game won't even launch from steam, just get a "Xrc3.exe (This isnt it but cant remember now) has stopped responding."

Any clues as to where i'm going wrong?

Played through once completely vanilla when it first came out and want to make it a bit prettier to play through this time :)
 
SOC is my favourite of the three, but MISERY for COP is one of the most fun and challenging gaming experiences I've had. Can't wait for 2.2 but it's going to be a while yet...

If either mod didn't come with an installer (most don't), then it's usually just a case of extracting the download to somewhere of your choosing, followed by dragging the 'gamedata' folder to your game directory.

AA2.1 came with an installer and a few others i've tried today didn't and I did exactly that, but both are doing the same thing :(

AA.21 is fine with 1.0006, looks like the other one needs 1.004.

Yeah verified cache and still the same, uninstalled, deleted the folder in steamapps and redownloaded as well
