Just caught speeding, what happens next?

If you do get a fine or something make sure you send a letter to the court or turn up in person as they always give you a little discount on what you have to pay if you argue your case a bit, mittigating circumstances and all that. i.e. the road was clear, late at night, following the guy infront etc.

I was caught doing 45 in a 30, 3 points and a £60 fine, didnt have to tell admiral till my renewal was up this year and it made about £30 difference for me
