Just cause 3

It's not a patch on JC2, that seems to have much more variation. The explosions and weapon mods are a bit of a giggle though and it's quite pretty, it's nice just to drop into a sort of open world game with no plan other than attaching booster explosives to the back of cars or tethering cows to windmills.
 
Lol at everyone. After using the game it just doesn't appeal anymore! Nobody here bought a game and not finished it? It is action packed yes, but so repetitive. No surprises in the game.

It's a big toybox with a crap story stuck on the side, much like JC2.

Strapping a gas tank to a bloke and watching him force-ably take off and get spread across the skyline is something I find particularly rewarding and I must have done about 100 time now. :D. Plenty off easter eggs to find as well.

There is definitely less environmental variation in this than in JC2. All the towns and cities look exactly the same. I remember in JC2 the separate islands had more different styles. You had the big city then jungle, mountain and desert areas. It all seems to look pretty much the same here, plus the volume of army guys is insane in comparison to the population which feels weird.

That said, I'm having tonnes of fun on it :D
 
I'm finding my reaction to it a lot like madmax. Its fun and nice looking but for an hour or so at a time. Once you do everything once its getting a bit repetitive.

Still worth a buy at £15 though.

What? You do everything the same all the time.
Just because a rocketlauncher now shoots 4 rockets instead of 1 doesnt make it any different really.

But it isnt, Just Cause 2 is still the better game.

This is on a 4970K with 32 GB ram and running a 7970 and 280x in xfire at resolution of 1920 x 1200 and have turned most options down from crazy high to medium.

Anyone any suggestions or pointers on what to change to get this looking any good?

Am running latest drivers...well think I am. Downloaded Crimson the other day and it reports 15.11

Sorted....

Updated to the 15.11.1 beta and am now running fine.

Time to start mindlessly blowing things up
