Just cause 3

Yeah tis indeed frustrating, particularly when the same studio delivered such a great experience with Mad Max using the same engine. If it was Batman as the lead character instead of some relatively unknown Rico dude there would be media uproar.

Can I drop any vehicle off at any garage? I am trying to get a jet to that first garage you unlock but one time It blew up just before but the voice over person said I needed to take it to some other garage anyway?

Also did it not support steam cloud before? and now it doesnt?

Nice game to play. Lots of fun but, very repetitive! Not crashed today only at exit as normal. FPS are really good. Approx 80. GPU is a GTX 950 and CPU i3-6100

Would agree, the repetition is already starting to get to me and I am finding that I am logging out comparatively quickly each time I play. There is only so many times you can visit and similar looking town and knock down similar looking signposts, destroy similar looking speakers and pull down a similar looking statue whilst killing a seemingly unending global superpower sized army of infantry who have the tactical ability and accuracy of stormtroopers.

Its not a bad game but it really hasnt hooked me in the way I had hoped it might. Frankly, I enjoyed Just Cause 2 more.

A bit more JC3 as I saw it at its best tonight!

I thought I'd create the Fun Ship- I landed a chopper on (what I think is?) the biggest military boat in the game, at the one of the early rebel islands, right down south:

I then thought i'd pilot it to the first garage you unlock, which was 18 or so km away I think? It got stormy quite quickly:

It turns out the military vehicles can only be added to rebel drop by taking over bases. I realised I needed to take over Porto Tridente in the very north west corner of the map :sigh:. Mega boat trip again! This time with a sun set.

It really is a very pretty game!

After a long night cruise I finally reached my destination and just before dawn I began the naval assault:

The plan for the helicopter was that if my boat started going down, I'd quickly jump into the chopper and make my escape, with the plan that the boat would have taken out the AA guns... but when the army took issue with my boat they took out the chopper first :(

Shortly after this I died for no reason :/

So new Nvidia drivers stopped the bluescreens on challenges completion but crash to desktop instead. With the new patch installed aswell my issues appear to have been resolved :D

Another update today.

Hot on the heels of last week’s game update, we’re bringing you another patch specifically tailored to deal with a pressing PC issue.

With the 1.021 patch ( 99 MB ), you can expect:
Improved Stability When Exiting To Desktop
Improved Memory Management

Improved Stability When Exiting To Desktop
As some of you will be aware, there was an issue that would sometimes cause the game to crash when exiting to desktop. The cause of this issue has been identified and addressed with this update.

Improved Memory Management
In addition to fixing the exit to desktop crash, this update also improves Just Cause 3’s memory management across a variety of hardware configurations. Some systems will feel this beneficial impact more than others.

We will continue to work towards introducing more performance improvements in the future, if you didn’t see an improvement today, you may well see benefits from some of the optimizations we’re working on at the moment.

I found a Snowman. On the BEACH!

I've also found a few remembrance plaques with peoples names on, I can only assume colleagues or family members that died during production.

I've got to the Jet mission in the storyline. And I'm finding it incredibly annoying with Mouse and keyboard. SO much so I quite in frustration. 'Homing missiles' are anything but.

Having watched reviews and such for this game before playing it, I was expecting it to get boring fast, but darn is it fun. I'm surprised at how fun the side challenges and wingsuit courses are, I heard they were supposed to be terrible. In one machine gun challenge, I cheesed it by using a nearby attack chopper to easily wreck the score. I wonder if I can abuse this for the other challenges, hehehe? The day 1 DLC nonsense annoys me a bit, even though I got one included with my Collector's Edition.

I've grabbed a few mods like the cooldown remover, intro cutscene remover and infinite beacons for the rebel drop. Handy stuff and I can't wait to see what else gets made.

The game looks and runs great for me, the only issues I've had are the crash when closing the game and one instance where the game wouldn't load after I firewalled it to stop it connecting online. Online mode in this game is pointless, I hope they patch it out. Most folks don't care about leaderboards.
