Just Cause 3

I have been really looking forward to this hope they fix the frame rate issues, I don't care if graphically it hasn't move on much as it was such a perfect game to pick up for 10 mins here and there.

Just watched an Xbox One stream and it was awful during explosions.
 
Its never really a good sign when reviews are not up a couple of hours before release :/ I've got this ordered on PC (and I don't usually pre order anything!) So hoping it just has a very strict NDA or something.
 
Just had a look at Metacritic and not a single review for JC3... theres even a few for R6 Siege which by most peoples accounts (including my own!) might be expected to have some less than stellar reviews after all the server issues.
 
It's getting good to decent scores, it's never going to be a 10/10 game but 8/10 is exactly where I expect it to be. Will wait for a patch for the technical issues then buy.

Reviews seem ok but it sounds like it has awful performance issues on PS4/XBONE.

Do developers every play the games on the console? Or just port them across and think 'yeh, that'll be fine'!
 
I'm sure half the reviewers never play the games on consoles and just base it on the PC version. Hardly any of them have mentioned the performance issues....

Either that or my PS4 is broken as it completely ruins the game for me.

Just how bad is it on the PS4? Did the day one patch help at all?

I found it really bad not sure if the patch made it better as I installed it before playing.

It slows and stutters like crazy. Driving cars is bad as it jutters loads. It also has some weird motion blur which just turns the screen to a mushy blurry mess when you move the camera.

I could not play it so have now sold it to CEX and will get it on PC.

A lot of the excerpts I've read on GAF note that PC has issues too but they have the horsepower to push through whereas the consoles do not.
 
Judging by the Eurogamer / Digital Foundary "preview" it didn't look *that* bad on the PS4 but, to be fair to Moogleys, he may be encountering performance issues in areas that weren't displayed on the preview.

Overall though it does sound disappointing considering the target is only 1080p30 (900p30 on the Xbone).
 
Watched loads of streams the last few days on all platforms, all looked great & smooth, can't actually believe how bad the performance issues are on xbone until you're playing it, so sluggish at times, then rubberbands and catches up with itself, also makes aiming in a firefight while explosions are going on in the background to be very difficult, hope it is patched and fixed!

This is what I don't understand, surely the developers played/tested the game on all platforms?
 
Decided to buy this, despite the performance issues. Will fire it up when I get home and see how it goes.

Reckon it wont be long before a patch fixes it
 
Been playing this quite a bit and tbh the slowdown during explosions and fire fights aren't that bad in my eyes at least... there's loads going on in some sequences and it's really good performance wise I feel. I've only 2 small gripes with the game and there not game breakers but wish there was a way to disable the auto aim as it snaps to the enemies back and forth when aiming at a lot of soldiers, wish I could just use manual aim, there is a "precision aim" button on ps4 which is R3 but doesnt seem to do anything when it's pressed?? Also the driving could be tighter as riding motorcycles seems so heavy and wont correct quickly so just seems to lurch from side to side, maybe it's just me? Altogether as a package I feel the game is great with loads of different ways to play and plenty toys to upgrade and mess about with and the cut scenes have gave me a few laughs since it's all good humoured, It's all down to personal preference but I'm enjoying it, just need to give it a chance.
