No need to skip JC3 in my opinion now most of the bugs present at launch have been fixed. JC2 is the most fun for me, but I find it difficult to go back to it now I'm used to JC3 and JC4 with the extra gadgets.

Rather enjoying this so far although I've pretty much just been running around blowing things up (lots of fun :D ) - I'm not really understanding the whole 'Squads' thing, anyone got a brief guide as to how that all works?

I always enjoyed JC2 with some mods to make the grappling system a little more fun ( ie unbreakable ), the missions were terrible but it was great fun to mess around in. I didn't like JC3 at all, JC4 basically looks the same.

This game also includes various video files from JC3 including the credits... just shows how much work was put in.

I had seen that the graphics and in particular water in the game are not great. Wow some of the textures actually made me laugh, although for the most part they are ok the odd one is shockingly bad, as is the water.

Im sure I seen upcoming patch notes but no mention of water/texture fixes?

I thought my laptop was doing something with the graphics due to running on battery power but I guess the graphics are just terrible? I didn't mind the graphics on JC3 have they actually downgraded them in 4?

Been playing JC3 again recently and enjoying it, but surprised at the water quality in JC4 a major step back, no waves or wakes will keep an eye on it, see if they can fix issues like that

I'm thinking it was rushed. Looking at the JC3 water it was beautiful. Also looking at The Hunter CoTW, they can do a lot more surely. Something doesn't add up.

I am wondering if 4K is to blame.

When JC3 was released in 2015, 4K was not really a thing so could run at 1080p with nice graphics on consoles, maybe when they tried to run JC4 on consoles with gfx similar to JC3 at 4K they could not get acceptable framerates so just drop the quality to get 4K up to 30FPS or 60FPS on consoles?

Of course does not help us PC players though

Just a thought

Did JC3 promo videos look as lush as 4's? I know trailers will have the game looking at its best, but it looked really pretty and clearly doesn't under any scrutiny.

I've played 15 minutes of it and it feels like I'm playing and FPS from 10+ years ago, everything's got a **** grain over it and his character model looks pretty basic as well.

Anti-Alising set to temporal SMAA leaves ghosting everywhere, FXAA seems to do nothing
