Just gave blood again, do you?

Donating platelets as I post this. Trying to eat a tunnocks teacake (in the correct manner - picking all the chocolate off the outside first) one handed is a tricky task!

Karma? If you want to believe in superstitious nonsense that's fine but don't bring me into your make believe world.

What a man soweth, shall also he reap.

But anyway, I have no problem with you not donating as long as you don't expect a blood transfusion should the need arise.

was in again this morning making a donation and eating their biscuits.

always provide a decent cuppa and an excellent selection of choccy biccies in our local donation centre(Nelson Mandela Sq in case any of the fellow Glasgow Ocukers are in this thread)

on about this today at work - i can't give blood because i had about 12 blood tranfusions nearly 5years ago. The rules haven't changed and there isn't a time limit. I'm something of a mongrel. Probably have caucasian, negro, asian, indian blood in me now.

I want to give back what I've had but i can't so i don't.

Failed at platelet donation today, they could get blood out but it wouldn't go back in again so they had to stop. Have to wait longer to go back to donate as it's effectively a part whole blood donation. Arm is starting to ache, hoping I won't have a spectacular bruise tomorrow!

I've done it a couple of times, but then I forget to go next time they are down.

Does anyone else find it painful, I get really bad pains up my arm when i donate, feels like my life is being sucked out
