I find blood types quite interesting - I never knew what my type was so a few months ago I did one of those DIY blood typing kits which told me I was B- but it was quite wrong, I'm actually A+.
Learnt something new to night, been several studies in several countries and all have seen a dramatic reduction in heart attacks and strokes for people who donate blood at least twice a year.
It's all the extra walking to and from the donor clinic .
Any theories (other than mine) as to why?
Nope never, My blood, Staying in my veins.
Tried to give blood last week and failed.
All but 1 of my veins are too deep, and that one is right next to the tendon so they had trouble getting to it. Spent 15 minutes getting stabbed in the arm before they gave up.
As in dehydrated? Never heard of deep veins before(well not in place of normal ones anyway).
I wasn't dehydrated and drank what I usually drink most days. Had a litre of water that morning along with a couple of coffees, but no joy.
They did say that if I try and donate again to drink more water but I'm already drinking a couple of litres a day, now they want me to double it! sod that

Did you eat?
And look at urine colour, easiest way to see hydration levels than an arbitrary amount if water.
