I wouldnt let them, I'd provide them with a car. Which emits loads of CO2, obviously. Probably a V8 infact. An X5 4.8iS, becuase that annoys absolutely all environmentalist lentilites be they anti 4x4 or anti co2 or whatever
Sure you'd like to pay the tax for that? :p

I have, I just happen to disagree with you.

How thick are you?

Your point seems to be that you refuse to take resposibility

That isn't my point at all you plank. I clearly said several times my point is they dealt with it in such a daft way.

If you cannot be bothered, or are not smart enough, to read my posts properly then don't bother replying in any of my threads.

Bright enough to know that it was illegal to cycle on the pavement. How thick are you?

No, they dealt with it in a way you disagreed with. You decided to take it badly instead. It doesn't matter if you are breaking the law safely or not, you are still breaking the law. Take it like an adult or cry like a baby about it, your choice. If I speed safely should I be let off?

Awww, did the little cyclist get all upset because people don't agree with him? I don't agree that the police officer handled it badly, he did the right thing.

I would be somewhat confused as to what my 2.5 year old was doing out on a bike unsupervised...

girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/sister/brother/uncle/cousin.. the list could go on, if you want to be pedantic do it somewhere else, preferably under several thousand feet of water

Sounds fair enough. Don't ride on the pavement in future.

The whole "other people do worse stuff" argument doesn't really make me more sympathetic. If you break the law, accept the consequences, don't try and shift the blame.

A more serious answer then...

If you think the law is wrong, then campaign for a change in the law, don't break it because you think it unjust. Justice is meant to be blind so personal feelings really shouldn't count for what is right and wrong and what sort of punishments are meeted out.

I could just as easily ask you how you would feel about cyclists riding on the pavement if your young child had been run over by one. It is an emotive arguement used to bolster your side.
