Hello,
I got my pc back today.
It came with the gfx cards in it as I asked and booted up first time.
But I have noticed that only 1 gfx card is showing up in device manager.
They are both working (well the fans are going round on them)
The motherboard is an Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
Here are some photos of the pc...

In Device manager the cards show up as in this photo
I think the intel one is onboard? Theres only 1 Radeon

In the Catalyst program I cant find any option to enable/disable crossfire
It was always under the performance part..

Ive tried installing the drivers again but no luck, I loaded the bios defaults and checking the display is on pcie.
It says in the manual to the motherboard if using 2 way xfire to put the cards in slots pcie1 and pcie4 . On my photos it looks like they are in slots 2 and 4?
The radiator is blocking the top slot, is this why I cant get crossfire working because one card has to be in the top slot which is slot1?:confused:

I dont really want pulling the gfx cards out as I am not very good with doing this, this is why i asked for it to be all set up.

Looking at the motherboard spec, what I can read of of it. I think you will need the cards in slots 1 & 4 (as you mention) as it seems to show PCI-E Slot 2 as PCI 3.0.

Is there any way of movie the cooler to the roof, What case are you using?

Whoever built this for you needs to sort it out.

You've only got 1 card showing in the Device Manager along with the Intel integrated graphics.

As RJC said, the top card needs moving up a slot but it doesn't look like you can because of the radiator.

Infact unless it was OCUK (and I doubt it !) who built it you'll be posting a competitor link so don't do that.

But do be very annoyed. The radiator has been bashed, the wiring looks like the rats are going to move in at any minute and any one who supplies a PC with a technical flaw that blocks the first PCIE slot really needs to rethink their career.

I don't think 700w is enough to power them cards.

It's cutting it close IMO. It's certainly not a devil I would want to dance with.

heres a pic of it.
It is the Ultima Mossasaur from OCUK, I got it a few months ago.
I got them to put a different case on I wanted. I put a fan controller and some colored fans on it myself :)

It has just come back after having a new mobo put in.

I suggest you post your problems in the Customer Service section of the forum.

Now that we know it's OcUK this thread is likely to get closed.

Post a link to this thread if you like so they can see the reaction to your problems.

If this is the case why did they not move the radiator when putting the new mobo in :confused:
Or at least tell me crossfire wouldnt work as it is :confused:

Not experienced with that particular combination, Asrock are very specific with their slot allocations. I had the same problem initially as slot 2 and 4 are easier to use. Which is where I think your cards are.

I would have words with them if that cooler rad won't move.

Andi.

I've requested the thread be moved to Customer Service so don't be surprised if it disappears from the Graphics card section of the forum.
