• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Just got pc back. No crossfire :(

According to the manual, installing a card in slot 2 will disable all the other x16 slots. If the rad can't be moved the only way round it is to have both cards in slot 4 and slot 6, but if it does work they'll both run at x8 speed (you won't notice).

Get in touch with OcUK customer services I would be inclined to say.

No harm maybe but also no point. If someone built me a pc it's that kind of thing that would lead me to wonder if they actually know what they're doing.
I would be inclined to say it's good practise. As Surveyor mentions, saves losing the extra one.

As this is an OcUK built PC I suggest we refrain from making comments we might regret on the OcUK forum.

The thread should hopefully be moved to Customer Service and I'm sure OcUK will sort everything out for the OP.

It may well be good practice for people that actually know their way around the guts of a computer, but we're talking about work done by a 3rd party. If I was building a computer I would assume it was for someone that knows little to nothing about putting together a pc, making completely pointless connections inside the computer only increases the potential for confusion somewhere down the line.

I would be inclined to say it's good practise. As Surveyor mentions, saves losing the extra one.

My spare is under my bed, I think :p.

I'll leave it here, as there is some good info about this board and what slots you can use for cards, but yeah the OP should contact Customer Services, either via the forum, webnote or phone as per the contact details.

Fair enough.

But before anyone gets carried away I assume you agree with this:

Having made the same mistake with my build using my first Asrock I think that comment is a bit harsh.:p;)

Andi.

If this build has been made by a company where the OP bought it, which i think by reading this thread it has.

My comments are not aimed at the OP at all! as he never built the machine from what i can tell.

That's an ocuk build?

Ok can I have a job application please, i've built pc's far better than that and they work :p
