Just got this in an e-mail?

No it's not "only an email". It displays their total lack of intelligence.

As for stuck up my own arse, of course I am.

some people are extremely intelligent more so than even yo although some will lack common sense, be naive ,gullible and may believe emails like the one the ops posted

its no reason not to associate with them

You dont want to mix with them because they are stupid

Some of the lesser smarter people i know are actually very nice people to get along with

:p

Anyway, the email is quality - Had it about 10 times, it even spread around my contact list and everyone believed that bbc article :p

Everytime someone sends me that same email I get realy annoyed :p

How thick can people be ?

I also keep getting emails from people telling me that everyone should stop buying petrol from ESSO , Those also annoy me.

I had one like this and was surprised at the people who forwarded it.

Use your brain before you forward something; is it logical, why would it happen, etc.

That actual email shows a 2001 link and open your eyes, if they charged very few would pay.

I'm so glad this isn't one of them 'do you think its real' threads, the amount of stick given would have been hilarious.

Best one that we had was some people in Africa wanted to put a large amount of money into our bank, but for them to do so we had to pay them an amount. Anyway we played along laughing all the way. Got faxes sent through, looked pretty good too. Got right up to the point were they wanted to be payed. Hah yer right! Obviously the last reply back to them wasn't forum friendly. :p But its sad for those people who fall for this kinda stuff and the amount of £ they loose.

Thats what makes me laugh about the real hustle, they show you exactly how to scam people.

Whatever you want to call it, they're stupid. I like to think I can't stand mixing with people that are stupid so if I have the choice I don't.

I take it then that your only friends at Uni are fellow computer enthusiasts?

No female friends?

Are you implying that women are stupid? I have many female friends, they're just like my male friends in that they have enough nonce not to send me ridiculous emails like this.

He has a girlfriend does he not?

Maybe he doesn't speak to her as she sent him an idiotic e-mail?

I've got plenty of friends who aren't thick enough to believe an e-mail that could have been typed better by 5 year old with his elbows. I agree with you Zefan :)

No, but most women don't really give a crap about computers - computers allow them to go on facebook and do coursework, thats that. So these things just get forwarded on, 'cos thats what all their mates do. Therefore surely by process of elimination, you've stopped talking to them all.

I don't actually believe for one minute you refuse to speak to people again after they've sent an email like that, becuase this would be pathetic. I think you thought you'd put a little quip in to sound funny on the forums, and now it's backfired with epic comedy effect.

The email has poor grammar, spelling and punctuation - something that everyone that isn't stupid should be able to see. It's got nothing at all to do with giving a crap about computers, it's got everything to do with plain old common sense.

I don't refuse to talk to them, that would be pathetic. I just stop asking them for advice/inviting them places/attending stuff they invite me too unless there are people who aren't morons attending.

I know lots of people who I work with who would possibly believe that Email, none of them are stupid, infact most are far from it, they just dont know any better as they dont spend much time on the internet or hear about these types of emails

Does not knowing something make someone stupid?

Read my above post. It's got nothing to do with computer literacy or knowledge of the internet. If someone can't see how badly written the email is they're clearly an idiot.

I will take your back-down as confirmation I was right ;)

Back down?! We're not in some **** fight here you know. Never actively starting conversation isn't the same as ignoring someone.
