i spent a few hours chucking cheapo erasers at it and watching them get minced :D
Videos please!!!

ive jsut caught my finger in one of my panaflo fans and ive now got quite a large deep cut in my finger these run at 2500rpm at 105cfm.. damn that hurt!!!

EDIT: it ripped some of my fingernail off too :(

well i dont normally put my fingers near the fans but i wanted to see how hot my ram was getting and didnt think about the massive fan just above it..

The trick is to press the middle of the fan to slow it down... :D

I did that once on a high rpm sibak 60 mm fan(tried to do it anyhow) 1st time: i couldnmt slow it down enough be4 it felt too hot, i would burn my finger if it kept it there longer.

2nd time: didnt do it exactly in center and the force pulled my finger to the sides and cut a bit of my skin of leaving my finger bleeding for an hour or so.

Ill never put my finger in high rpm fans again

I find the trick is not to use a fan that could kill me if I look at it funny :)

Delta fans can sense fear , you don't even need to be in the same room. My old one could make my ears bleed from a different floor

In recognition of this thread I dug out a 80mm Delta that I had lying around in the office, plugged it into a spare PC but made the mistake of resting it on top. Plugged in the power cable and the PC automatically switched on, as did the fan, and it just flew off the case. :(

Irrespective of the strength of the blades or the motor - something spinning that fast will hurt you!
