Just put my name down for one of these:-

Hi there

Well what can I say but if this car handles only half as good as it looks then I shall be buying one:-

I am first in the queue for a UK model if I wish to buy one but suspect I will be able to save myself circa £10,000 if I just import myself one from the USA. Needless to say it is of my oppinion that there is no better modern looking car on the market and I most definetely want one. The more I see pictures of this car the less I worry about the fact it might be a heavy fat thing as looking at those pictures puts a grin on my face, I can only imagine what would happen when I here that HEMI turning over and starting up.

I love the retro front end. If you squint hard you can even imagine it is a 70s design!

Hi there

Yes it looks very similar to the 60/70's model, Dodge have a done a real good job of keeping the original looks but also making it modern at the same time. I just hope everything else about the car is upto scratch but I am sure odd niggles will be worth putting up with for such a fine car. :)

That car has been the wall paper on my desktop for the last 6 months and i absolutly love it. :D

Just finished uni and getting a job soon so might be able to get one in 10 years time :( Lucky *******!

I love the rear end, Think it would look much better in black, maybe even plum crazy purple. Hope they do a hideaway headlight option, as it really does look cool on american muscle cars.

So, what d'you reckon then Gibbo? Take the engine out to the magic 426 cubic inches with the parts from The Hemi Shop? :D

Hi there

Lets just say whatever I get next will not remain stock. No matter how good a car might be I just cannot resist the temptation to play. :D

imo, the car looks beautiful... that is until it *swirls* up at the back after the drivers doors :(

But it has to do that, as that's what Challengers look like :)

Not for me unfortunately, it looks like it's one of those cars that have been converted to run on the road and down the Thames! Check out that bottom lip!

I would've gone for something else, but I don't want to be a numpty and ruin your fun so I hope you enjoy it.

That's the same engine that's available now in a Jeep (and a few other cars)
The Jeep (Grand Cherokee) claims 0-60 in 5 seconds.
Tuned versions do it less than 4 seconds.
One of the reasons the Jeep manages the 0-60mph sprint so quick is that it reaches >60mph in second gear at standard max. revs.

SRT600 = 600bhp ;)

Hi there

Yes in the Challenger they are claiming the stock 6.1l car will have 425BHP and hit 0-60mph in 4.5s, do the 1/4 mile in 13s dead and hit a top speed of 174mph.

As JRS pointed out to me, for about the same money as the supercharger for the Mustang cost I could take the engine in the Challenger upto 426ci which I think is good for around 650BHP. Needless to say I suspect that would be rather interesting, my next challenge maybe. :D

Damn, I'd like one of those, serious road presence. However, is their any better colours they do? a lot of the pics have that orangy colour.

Hi there

I am sure there will be other colours maybe, but if it is a limited production run then they might just stick with that colour. Which to me is no dissapointment as its the colour combo I want. :D

I suspect in back this car would just be too scary and would no doubt look great as already mentioned in the plum purple which so many muscle cars seem to get done in. :)

Chrysler may well go for some of the old 'High Impact' colour range for the Challenger. Stuff like Plum Crazy, Sub-Lime (one of my favourites), Go Mango, Hemi Orange, Panther Pink....:)

it just looks better the more i look at it. how much are they looking to market t in the US (not that i can afford it!)
