Just Received an iPhone I Didn't Order

No, that was sat in my drafts. Someone on this forum had offered to try and check what was happening and forwarded an email they had saying they would be getting to me, they were rather snowed under. I thought I would give them some time and sure enough, someone got in touch.
I did point out some things along these lines like, no-one from Sky mentioned Action Fraud to me, but I just got more apologies about how snowed under the Fraud dept was...Yet despite apparently knowing of a large scale scam of this nature, still happily passed your details along to a debt collection agency, excellent work by Sky Mobile there

What a **** show. This is the first i've seen this thread. Some people out there willing to side with Sky, madness. If this was truly happening everywhere at once it would be on the news, as they just love scare mongering and fear.
Hopefully it works out for you. The initial contact should realistically be enough to show it's their fault as no acting body thinks the corporations have any real actual customer service now.

Only in that I did receive the packaging a few days after the phone call, I posted it back a couple of days after that. I'm now waiting to see if I receive anything further from them saying I owe them money. In theory, I won't and this is now over. I will update if I do receive any more demands.
I have had a few updates from credit sites saying my rating has gone up (it used to be just about perfect) so I assume that might be the debt being removed from them.
Oh, I did have an email a month or so back from a company to say they had declined credit in my name. (One thing that has been done is a marker on me, so it should be harder to take credit in my name) I emailed back asking if it was Sky Mobile by any chance and it turns out someone tried to buy an iPhone on John Lewis in my name... well, I work for the John Lewis Partnership, so I have reached out to our fraud team to see if they want any info to look at what happened

Nah, I expect that's more likely a coincidence. I guess I could probably get the delivery address if I spoke with the right people (which I hadn't thought of until now, hmm.... but I guess that might also be addressed to me?), so someone who knows I work there would be a bit silly to order through us.
