OK, if we want to be logical.

If there is a God then praying *may* do some good.

If there isn't then it can do no harm.

Therefore praying maybe the logical thing to do in such a circumstance. Perhaps.

I agree with the above entirely. I am not religious at all but that comment had no place in this thread. King4aday chose to highlight his disagreement with the topic starters beliefs in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Thoughtless.

I hope the kid is ok.

I think if you read the thread thoroughly you won't find anyone who claimed they wouldn't be affected by witnessing what the OP saw, my post certainly didn't.

I'm not going to go back and drag up your comments, but you should have just let it go.
