It's been confirmed for a while that reducing the ease of visibility to outrage artists does in fact reduce their ability to 'entertain' people. Reddit in particular noticed this.
So yes banning people does work as only the most devoutly outraged would go searching for them.

Surely you can't be serious, if someone has a million followers on twitter and they make a tweet, you're telling me you can get that same message by word of mouth, phone calls and knocking on doors to a million people just as quick.
That really isnt happening unless you get a ride on santas sleigh.

I didn't know what Katie Hopkins looks like, so googled her on Google Images. Meh, she's not that good looking imo.
And this. I think it's called the Streisand Effect. This is where they try and censor / silence someone but it has the opposite effect, and the issue that they were trying silence becomes more widely known. Fair play to her I guess. I think silencing someone is just as bad as her hate speech (whatever the hate speech was). If she said something bad or a sweary on Twitter, it should have been modded like over here on Overclockers. Twitter accounts should only be deleted if direct bullying was involved, and the same would apply on Overclockers too.

The only people who care about twitter/Facebook are hipsters, celebrities and people with egos to stroke. The vast majority of people in the world are NOT on twitter.

Absolutely nothing alike, total opposites.
I've never heard Piers be vile to anyone, he just doesn't put up with idiots and I tend to agree with the vast majority of what he comes out with.

Piers is a scumbag and has been since his days as at the Sun were he himself confesses to being a celebrity brown noser. The fact even Murdoch said he went to far in tabloid ******** causing him to leave for the Mirror is proof enough. He was investigated at the Mirror for breaching code on financial journalism. Then he was fired from there for publishing fake pictures of British soldiers for which he's never apologised. Then he's quite like Donald Trump in forgetting who his friends are, when he claimed not to have ever met Jimmy Saville and it turns out a few years later he had met Saville in an article he wrote earlier in which he said "I've always loved Jimmy Saville". He's a grade A ****, a brown nosing sycophant and I wouldn't **** on him if he were on fire.
Edit: In fact, let's get to the real problem. Piers is a smug **** who wanders around with an unwarranted sense of self importance. He earned his success by being a bottom feeding bully, who scraped the bottom of whatever **** hole he was working in at the time being hateful, celebrity obsessed and privacy despising hypocrite who likes hacking phones. He has crawled over anyone to make it to where he is and done anything to get there. He's partnered with other smug ***** like Simon Cowell to make a name for himself on TV were he was once again paid to be a bully and surround himself with celebrities he liked to lick the arse of. He's a knee jerk reactionary that couldn't pull a decent argument out of his arse despite how far his head is up there. He's a pound store Jeremy Kyle pretending to be an Andrew Marr. He has and continues to exist on controversy. The only people that will miss Piers when he is dead are those unfortunate enough to have been the result of him not pulling out.
