Kebabs!!! with AH2

I hate you!...

I've just moved into my new house, and don't know where the nearest Kebab van is!... which was good, as it meant I didn't crave the 'Devils Food' that is a Chicken Kebab n Chips!...

Now I'm gonna have to make one!... :)
 
Mark 3.

These may be ufa kebbabs. But I'm not Turkish and there seems to be 20 different recipes for what's called the same thing. So it's cobbled together from a few of those.

This is using exactly the same flat breads as the last one. In fact it is the left over dough frozen from last time

Kebbab
500g mince
1 red pepper
1/2 onion
handful parsley

salsa
1/2 red onion
1/2 cucumber
3 chillies
parsley
garlic
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
plenty of pepper and some salt.

1) place onion, pepper and parsley in a food processor and blend.
2) mix onion paste into minced meat. form into oblonges, slide on to skewers and grill

Salsa
1) finely dice everything and add the we ingredients

and before anyone says I'm addicted to just kebabs, it extends to any meat fill bread item with fresh salad. So includes things like Tacos
 
That looks scrummy. But doesn't everything fall out of the end? I always fold the bottom up half way through rolling it to prevent spillage. I don't care if it isn't the traditional way, it's certainly the sensible way!
 
Leave out the red pepper and I'm there, I can't stand the bloody things so I'd probably substitute it for some sun-dried tomatoes. Also, a cucumber and mint dressing would go really well with that.
 
If I might make a suggestion, when preparing cucumber it generally tastes better if you cut out the watery bit in the centre. For a little effort you get a better result, it won't water down you're dressing or make you're bread soggy then.
 
Contender for best thread revival of all time! Wish the pictures still worked though... (they make me hungry vaguely remembering them from the first 2 times)

Keep forgetting about random name changes too.

Ahh the good old days when the cooking threads were in GD :). I keep meaning to check the cooking sub forum.
