Keeping up with the Markles

It’s as I said before and others have said, look at yourself before placing blame or accusations at others. Meghan is a prime example of this, look at her strained relationships with her father, her half sister and now the royal family.
How true is that?? No one but herself knows and the media is thriving upon it. Of course the media especially the likes of DM and other scummy rags hold some responsibility but ultimately she has to herself. And as of yet I’ve not seen her once say that it’s partly my fault or Harry’s fault for letting this get out of control.

The most difficult people who fall out with others typically see others as the problem and don't even consider that they may be the root cause of the issue. It never crosses their mind.

More interestingly, has the interview swayed anyone the opposite direction? Did you go into it thinking one thing and left thinking another?

I expect most people at this point have their minds made up whichever way they have and nothing could convince them to think the opposite is true

2 very self centred people, one is born with all the privilege he is afforded and the other has been living a life of luxury.

neither of which can even imagine what a normal life is and all they talk about is me me me and I want this and that.

sorry I have no sympathy for these self centred, self righteous people.

you are financially cut off from your family - get a job like 99.9999% of the world population

you have issues with the in-laws - welcome to married life and all the surprises it comes with

You think marrying a prince is going to be living happily ever after and going off a sunset - get a grip and check if you are still 4yr old, and get real please

you think you can still get tax payer to pay your way around the world and at the same time live off some £1m/month mansion and do nothing for the public other than smile and take pot shots at people - well sod off.

Heh, I had a mate like that, before I gave up on him.

I once asked him how likely it was that every neighbour he had ever had was a despicable person and he just didn't get my point.

I don't necessarily disagree, that's quite interesting, but I think that someone's intention should also be taken into consideration because it shows their rationale [or lack thereof].

I can see your point but currently what's being taught on equality and diversity courses is that even though you may have had no intention to cause harm the fact is if you did that outweighs the intention and therefore it's your responsibility to make it right by apologising or whatever is suitable and explaining that wasn't your intention.

So Meghan's view outranks the intention.

You do understand actresses are human beings right and can be subject to abuse, racism, harrasment like any other human being.

Yeah its something she knows a lot about.

I used to take her point of view seriously before the interview, but now that someone has posted a photo of her and suggested it could be Ian Wright in drag, I just can't see Oprah as Oprah any more.

Didn't anybody think it was Ian Wright dressed as Mrs Doubtfire?

Great sources. The same tabloid's which have been proven to be biased against her and the depiction of her in the public market.

Have you googled the avocado headlines?

Or the baby bump headlines, etc?

People are ignoring those because it doesn't fit the idea that the media have been fair

lol what myopic scroat actually thinks the media have been fair.....

My guess would be the ones taking whatever they see in the media as gospel. As far as I am concerned the media have shown that they can't report on news without putting their own slant on it (avocado etc) so nothing they say should be believed.

As much as I love internet anonymity, for certain uses, I agree that overall it would make the internet a much better place to visit.

People are all too happy to talk rudely to others from the comfort of their keyboard/phone knowing they wont have any ramifications coming back to them.

I think that overall it would make the internet worse. It might increase politeness but it would also increase enforced conformity and self-censorship. In an age where people can publically declare that everyone of what they regard as the wrong race is racist and should be required to publically promote racism against themselves as partial atonement for being the wrong race and those people are taken seriously, silencing dissent is a dangerous road to go down. The other possibility is that it could end up going full China or worse.

Agreed. It's amazing how upset people get when they state facts that they find rude. If you don't like facts, you're the problem, someone else shouldn't have to censor them to protect your delicate feelings.

That's been the case for over 30 years though

And people still haven't learnt! It's not just this though, same as everything in the media. They've basically made everything into Us vs Them. But the public lap it up and here we are.

And who bothers wasting their time listening to people who think that? If anything that's even more of a reason to do it so those sorts of idiots completely out themselves.

You can present facts without being a gargantuan ******* though.

They have already outed themselves. And they are continuing to gain power, so sooner or later you will have to not just listen to them but also obey them.
