Kerbal Space Program

I was *that* close to getting into orbit from the surface of Eve. I have a smallish lander that has the most complicated asparagus staging I have ever used. Managed to plonk it on top of a 5km peek. I think if I could find a 6km or 7km peak I might just be able to get into orbit. Would be the culmination of a apollo-style decade (seems like anyway) of work.

0.24 has just entered experimentals, so it will probably be released in a few weeks :)

Squad has also announced that they are migrating mod hosting from spaceport over to curse. I've never used curse, but the response on the KSP forums was overwhelmingly negative, with a significant number of people claiming that it is adware/malware/virus infested, and generally a horrible place to host or download anything. Has anyone over here had any experience with curse before who can either back up refute this?

I think curse host things like wowhead (WoW), futhead (Fifa Ultimate Team) and maybe now ksphead?

In all the WoW addons I downloaded I never had any issues, and with futhead I've used it frequently since its conception, however, spaceport is nicer & more personal, it'll be a shame to see it's trafic decrease :(

Slightly off the topic of the rest of this post, does anyone know any good mods for rover parts? Thinking body parts, larger areas of sheet metal than a 2x2 etc.. I want to take a few rovers to minimus but am also a bit clueless on them!

Its not what you said you were after, but I really like the Magic Smoke Industries 'Infernal Robotics'. it has lots of motorised parts that can connect parts of your ship together and move them about. perfect for creating folding rovers, or complicated robotic arms and stuff like that

I already have that & really like it, taking some getting used to but not a bad idea to try to incorporate it, I just can't see a way to bend hinges in the creation room, or can that not be done?

I believe its possible if you go to the action group settings screen and then click (could be left or right) on the physical part on the model, but don't quote me on that

aye seems to have died off at the moment, i played KSP for the first time in over 2 months last night. kept crashing on mun :(

Still playing it most nights, just trying to find a nice way to Duna, keep making ships that don't have enough Delta V on the way to Duna for the braking, or keep crumbling in Kerbins atmosphere!

Built a jet last night that got to 108km altitude (that's 38k into space). It was unmanned, but had there been a kerbal aboard he would have been able to get out and push the plane into orbit with just their jet pack I reckon.

Nice, i'm still useless at any type of plane/ssto :(

Its exam time, so lots of people (me included) just don't have time for Kerbal right now :(

The joys of working in a school & watching you all suffer!! :D
