It doesn't matter if you miss the moon, as long as your on the right plane just whack it in x1000 and you will eventually coincide with the moon.

Just go either 90degrees or 270dgress and go just slightly further out than the moon, to give you more time. Once you get the hang it's very easy.
 
For the 0.141 update basically fix a few bugs, they're working one a big surprise.

Am still using .13 until Monday when I can afford to make the purchase, I'm only using a laptop keyboard and having great difficulty in controlling my ships, particularly once out of atmosphere, can anyone recommend a guide to help me or have any advice? I just keep spinning out of control and not sure what to do

Firstly I have a MAC an Dedicated PC in sig.
I hate using my MAC to play, especially with many of the keys been different.

I can strongly recommend a joystick, not just for the inputs, which is more realistic (Harder IMO) than WASD.
But for the Analogue Throttle control with the joystick.

As for in control, in space:
Enable CRTL Key, the Pitch, Yaw, Role inputs become fine tuned.
Also build your ship, with JUST 1 ASAS unit, an toggle it On/Off (T) to eliminate unwanted movements.
For Large ships, that suffer Torque Spin, with lots of engines, use several SAS units to assist the single ASAS unit.

Attempting to try and get atleast 10 satelites around the earth...my 2nd attempt didnt go so well :\
 
I put one in a polar orbit, camera goes a bit weird at the poles but it works. What i don't understand is that i set it spinning before i separated, and now it isn't spinning. Is that data not recorded?

Yes/No.
It's meant to be recorded, but once a ship is unselected it either
Goes on Rails
Or unloaded from memory

either way any spinning force is zero'd out.
At present this prevents Satelite movements normally associated with been spinning.
 
I wouldn't spend to much time doing anything complicated, 0.142 is going to break compatibility with saved games.

thats kinda a good thing, i got so much space junk up there. Although to be fair every install i do i start fresh at the moment.

Hi everyone!

At long last, it's time we announce what the 'secret' feature of 14.2 is.

For the last few months, we have been hard at work on improving the terrain system. More precisely, we had one guy who worked tirelessly on it all this time, so it's only fair we let him introduce himself now, and his creation.

Wow, the new terrain looks fantastic! I hope that the trees won't mangle your capsule on landing though.

That external temperature monitor looks interesting too. Are they going to bring in reentry burn and heatshields soon?
