Kevin Space Invader

That's the very implication you made, are you being deliberately obtuse?

No and no. You wrote it, not me.

Nonsense, you are making excuses for his bizarre behaviour.

What innocent people do when they are falsely accused is either remain silent or deny.

Either of which would have been worse for him. Your conclusions are based on the past, not the present.

The statement Spacey makes implies he's guilty.

No it doesn't. Your interpretation (which includes words he didn't say) is that he's guilty. His statement was carefully worded to imply nothing.

I feel like this discussion is futile, I'm not gonna bend over backwards to interpret his words in a positive way. I shall interpret his statement in the same common sense fashion any court would. Which is he's guilty and has apologised for it.

You're bending over backwards to interpret his words to meet your pre-decided conclusion. You're even going to the extent of making up words and claiming they're his words.

I sincerely hope no court would do that.

I haven't interpreted his words in a positive way. I've said, and I quote, "His statement was carefully worded to imply nothing". I've given various possible interpretations as a counter-argument to the rather silly claim that there is only one possible interpretation of this statement which doesn't really state anything.

However, I do agree that this discussion is futile.

A representative for Spacey released a short statement to the US media, saying the actor "is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment. No other information is available at this time".

Still think that doesn't sound guilty? Requiring "treatment"

That Tony Montana guy is saying he had PTSD for 6 months after having his crotch grabbed. Really? Grow a pair (and have someone cup them for you?) :o

Weinstein and Spacey remind me of Randy (South Park) where he plays the disease card with his drinking and fighting a little too much.

Haha, I remember that episode, think it was 10+ years ago.

On-topic, this has probably already been said, but stuff like that goes on throughout the world in every industry, e.g. bosses with no-name underlings we never hear about, but Hollywood is the worst or among the worst and the huge media facade deluding the masses.

You have extensive experience of having your balls grabbed by other men?

I mean, I'm not judging, whatever you want to do, dude...
It might have happened once or twice in the past (male & female) - definitely uncomfortable but it's hardly PTSD inducing. I mean, get a grip - it's not like you've just done a tour of Afghanistan and seen your mates get shot.

Like the other thread says, I think it's different for men (or at least the overwhelming majority).

Spacey pulling a Weinstein and receiving “treatment”.
This sort of thing drives me nuts. Apparently Weinstein finished his treatment in just a week. So presumably he's now cured. It's all just a token gesture so they can tell the public they sought treatment for their illness and therefore took it seriously. In reality it means nothing and people who do this think we're just fools.
