KFC ad complaints

Wow! I thought that chicken was a type of fruit. Imagine my distress when I saw this advert and found out that chicken is an animal!

another victim of the misrepresentation of the media, of course chicken is a type of fruit, what do you think you're meant to do with eggs if you want to get a chicken? put them in a warm cupboard full of straw?

of course not you plant them in the ground like every other seed out there....

Can we meat-eaters complain that when we get dragged to vegetarian/vegan restaurants by other people we are openly discriminated against because they don't cater for meat-eaters at all. In fact I've received abuse before when enquiring about the meat section on the menu.

not that i frequent vegan restaurants, but is that true?

talk about double standards, i've not yet seen a predominantly meat based establishment without at least a token vegan option and i've never seen anyone get abuse for asking about/ordering it

That's not a KFC chicken. It would be much less happy, perhaps on the floor with hock burn, a broken leg etc.

I like eating Chickens.

I don't mind the KFC adverts ether, they remind me to keep eating chickens, specifically from KFC.

Id deffo agree about it being misleading though, that chicken looks pretty tasty and lively.

Yes, ridiculous, I can see coming further down the line all meat products in supermarkets will come in packaging that hides the meat etc, completely plain, to not offend people.
No, the entire meat, fish and eggs section will be separated, with two bouncers on the door. "Sorry love, you're not on carnivores register*, you can't come in."

*This will be as bad as being on the sex offenders register in the future.

cmon, lets be realistic, it won't be like that at all.

it starts with a fashionable movement, and like all fashion movements once it's reached sufficient saturation then it becomes the norm, and anyone not following it will be dismissed as old fashioned. we'll be tolerated for a while, they'll say things like "don't mind gramps, he was born in a different time", but eventually when the "old guard" dies out there'll be nobody left to fight against the inevitable wave of legislation.

all meat will be outlawed, if we want meat we'll have to go out and kill it ourselves, but we'd need to be careful to not be caught with any animal produce because the punishment for the heinous crime of killing to eat is- you guessed it, summary execution at the hands of the roving vegan death squads.

Is it OK for a vegan to kill a human animal, so long as they subsequently don't eat it? Or if a vegan kills a human, does it spark a chain reaction where a 2nd vegan has to kill the 1st, for killing an animal? And so on and so forth.

it's fine, after all meat is murder, and executing people for murder is fine.

of course that's not to say this new society is wasteful, oh no, the bodies of those caught killing animals will be dutifully re-cycled into "organic free-range" pet food.

or like most fashionable movement one it becomes the semi norm its no longer fashionable and is replaced & forgotten

to be recycled again in future

The obvious origin of the add sound track lyrics to gang violence and taking-out all contenders does seem brand inappropiate - but maybe that is the clientelle KFC want,
loyalty to KFC to the death [full lyrics https://genius.com/Dmx-x-gon-give-it-to-ya-lyrics ] - never saw the add on the tv - exclusively youtube ?

I would target the current 'plus sized' clothing adverts before attacking KFC, fashionable/cynical marketting setting a new norm,
( like the chickens ), they do not portray the poor diet and inadequate exercise facilities the participants really have.

I saw it 20 minutes ago on Channel 5 while watching Point Break 1991.
