KFC - Downhill?

The proportion of stale / sat under a hot lamp chicken vs fresh juicy chicken I've had from KFC has definitely gotten worse in recent months.
 
KFC round our way has absolutely gone down the pan recently, but some of the new chains aren't much better. We had a Slim Chickens the other day and honestly it was mediocre. What made it a "we aren't coming back" moment was when you work it out to be circa £15 a meal.

Popeyes, however, I get. It's like what KFC should be, juicy and moreish without being saturated in oil

I had Popeyes for the first time tonight. The chicken sandwich was decent, but I prefer kfc wings. I did like the biscuit though with the honey dip. And the 99p whip for dessert dumped on a flurry.
And to top it off I got a 25% off thing from their game for my next purchase, so I guess I’ll have to go back.

As for slim chickens, went when they first opened in bluewater and the double patty burger was good and decently valued so I had it a few times but they dropped it so I stopped going
 
Only thing I buy from KFC anymore is the Ranch Rice Bowl, with extra fillet. £9.50 but it tastes good and fills me up, much prefer it to a burger or chicken on their menu.
 
Used a few over the last few months and all have gone downhill. The size of the chicken pieces is shocking, the fries are rubbish and I'm sure it doesn't taste as good as it used to, not sure what they have done.
 
KFC Is 100% getting worse year-on-year.
I find their chicken so bland and flavourless nowadays. I very rarely eat there any more.
Basically only when at a service station and i have no other choice.
 
Whilst I would say they were consistently getting worse
they do seem to be the least consistent of all the fast food places.

Sometimes get a superb meal other times greasy warm.and chewy, tbh they're at the bottom of my list most of.the time.now

As someone who has one takeaway every 2-3 months I don’t want to waste that on poor food especially when one can buy good quality fried chicken at a much better price.
 
Took son back to Uni this weekend and he fancied a chicken burger. I said let's not do KFC, find a better chicken place. He found Cluck'd was nearby - never heard of them, but saw they have a few restaurants so gave them a try.

Didn't realise it was halal meat :(

Allot of UK meat is halal and not labelled as such if what I've read is correct
 
Agree but the worst fall from grace is McDonald's. It would be my go to but now I actually won't eat it unless its my only option. Everything is tasteless, small and just worse! Don't get me started on the coke...
