Killing those January blues!

You will be asked, does it have winter tyres?

No, more like , why do you want a BMW, buy something else

exits out of thread, looks at the motors forum, huge BMW owners thread, my past 2 cars have been BMW.

to be honest they did steer me to look at a BMW 4 series which I am looking around for now. - I just hate the ethos that if your not spending £20-30k + then you should by a mondeo/ skoda instead

January blues strikes me as some upper class thing you get after a skiing holiday for Christmas in Switzerland or somewhere.

but I guess in reality its an influencer nonsense thing.

how come no one searched for it in january 2005?

even if you change the graph to united states it looks almost identical, so yea it's some crap influencers are pushing. maybe they can monetise it and make everyone feel better.

You have the stupidest takes sometimes.

I remember it being called January blues when I was a kid, so about 30 years ago. I'm sure that term is pretty old.
Yes, I think so. A quick search provides - Hunt, D. "Prevention of" January blues"." The Medical Journal of Australia 1.14 (1975): 453-454.

It used to be called SAD and affected the darker months.

Yes it is very common with people who work outdoors in the UK or long hours who leave in the dark in the morning and return in the dark at night.
It sucks, I used to work outdoors for 50+ hours going up ladders in the rain and wind and it made you want to hang yourself some days.

Skoda Superb has a brolly in the door like a Rolls

January isn’t the worst Month it’s February for me. Started the Vitamin D earlier this time. Started taking the. In September instead of October as the weather was absolutely atrocious in 2024 in East Lancs, even worse than 2023.
Luckily 2.5 weeks in Rhodes in October boosted my mood.
Although the Wife nearly tore up her passport at Rhodes Airport as she hates leaving.

Found walking lots if I don’t fancy Cycling has massively boosted my Mood so I’ll be doing that more over the winter period.

Then hopefully a few UK breaks away in Summer and hopefully time in the garden before going back to Rhodes again in September.

Blue Monday, IMHO, is caused when people realise they can't keep up their "New Year, New Me" ******** that was ok for a couple of weeks then they fell off the wagon and back into their normal routines which they "vow to end for the New Year!"
