King Cobra Beer

Kingfisher is awesome with a curry, especially on draught in a curry house. Definitely prefer it to standard Cobra.

King Cobra is something else though, very unique. Would rather drink it on its own though to savour the taste!

Normal Cobra is a bit meh. It's better than a lot of beers but I'd rather grab a bottle of Brains Dark or something like that.

King Cobra is great, but it really does need to go in a proper glass and with a good curry, it can be a bit much on it's own. You can nearly always find a bottle of it in my house, it'll stay there until one of those days where we decide, "**** cooking, lets just get a curry" and then it's replaced with a new bottle.

Fortunately Tesco is on the way to the curry house just in case it doesn't get replaced on time, oh and the curry house is one of those ones that don't have an alcohol licence so if you eat in you get to bring your own beer.

Water doesn't actually help with the heat of curries, if you want to negate the heat from a capsicum then milk as referenced above is the way to go.

Oh yeah I know but for years I've had water with curry so it seems wrong to have other stuff. Plus I never eat curries to burn my mouth.. it's just annoying when that happens :p

Decided that I'd try King Cobra last night as I was cooking the Sunday meal, very nice but really quite potent. I'm not sure it is a beer I'd want to drink all the time but for a change it was good/

I've seen it in the supermarket but didn't know it was strong like that. Might have to give it a go one night I'm having a curry sesh along with Elephant beer and various other of the strong ones.

blankety blank, blankety blank....... dum dum ........... blankety blank, blankety blank.

"mate" ????
Comedy gold :D

My mum bought some for my Dad not realising it was 8%, my Dad seems to be of the mind set that any beer over 6% say will make you instantly die of liver disease.

So I had it instead, was very nice indeed. I've had some Imperial Russian stouts which have been about 10%, lovely stuff, admittedly I only had a half :)

Thread ressurection time.

Every Tesco around here has stopped selling it and I can't quite bring myself to hand over money to Asda (ie. WalMart).

Anywhere else that still sells it? Anyone else's Tesco stopped selling it? Curry night just isn't the same any more.
