** Kingdom Come : Deliverance 2 **

Only one making it a "gpu/rtx" thing is you.....
Ermm.. no, I think you'll find I was responding to your comment as you literally said "RASTER ONLY graphics" as an insult to the graphics being on offer. Please educate us all in the other options on offer that are not raster and aren't ray/path tracing? I'll come back in 2035 when you can answer.

Yes because the game visuals are being held back "overall" because of the raster limitations such as SSR artifacts you see when objects are in front of bodies of water, light bleeding through areas/objects, shadows not looking correct and in some areas even missing completely, also, ambient occlusion looks to be missing in some cases as well, this all adds to the "lack of depth/grounded" feel/look to the game comment I made and as a result, it can break immersion from a visuals POV. Ray/path tracing would solve these (maybe perf. would be bad or maybe it would be good if the devs do a great job as we have seen with such titles like indiana jones). There is no other way to avoid these problems with modern raster implementation methods...

You're the one who said "take it to the gpu sub forum" i.e. indicating it is a GPU thing and nothing to do with the game.

Ray tracing isn't a nvidia/RTX only thing you know....

Er, wow really I never knew having only used ray tracing back in the Amiga days.

Your first comment in the whole thread (that is a year old), and first sentence, was to complain about the graphics. You live for it. You could have said how awesome the game was, how much you were enjoying it, what a great job the devs did, but you chose to highlight the graphics.

My comment stand go back to the GPU forum to argue about the intricacies of the graphics, meanwhile we can discuss the game, quests, issues etc.

Or if you have nothing to add to the discussion on the "games" visuals, maybe don't post.... Only one who seems to have taken offence to a post highlighting that the graphics are good in their own right but could have been so much better is you.

The thing is I get it, people have different priorities and stuff to enjoy a game, but part of me kind of wishes there were separate technical and gameplay threads for each game because sometimes it gets taken over by pixel peeping when I'd rather be reading about the gameplay mechanics itself etc.

Edit: Actually you'd have to take that a step further and have a 'politics' version too lol.

No they could not have been unless they re-wrote the whole game in another engine. I have not taken offence, I just find your posts hysterical when the first thing you talk about is graphics. You only need to look at what you post 'most' of the time is about graphics.

Oh wait, I just realised weren't you banned from the whole GPU forum? Geez I wonder why, don't pollute the games forum please.

I see some complaints online from people whining that they get into trouble by sleeping in other people's beds.
So a piece of advice: do not sleep in other people's beds. That includes the bed the good old Bozhena let you sleep in to recover. It is her bed. Not yours. If you insist on sleeping in her hut after the prologue, use the bedroll on the floor where Hans was recuperating.
If a bed shows "Sleep and save", that's your bed. If it doesn't, you risk someone getting angry with you.

I found this out the hard way earlier, managed to apologise and calm the situation in exchange for some reputation loss. I won't sleep in other people's beds again.

Also does anyone know if it's normal that I can't aim with the bow and arrow. As soon as I pull back on the bow it soon releases the arrow without giving me a chance to aim. My crossbow works fine but not the bow and arrow. I did drop back to level 7 so maybe I don't have enough strength anymore? Or is it a bug?

Bit silly as there are a lot of things that make up a game hence why game reviews always talk about graphics too.....

And you are choosing to only focus on the point where I mention graphics and conveniently missing out the parts where I have said the game itself is very good and the graphics on their own are decent.....

Not really, that is why you have things like Digital Foundry that purely look at all that stuff and it's not mentioned too much in reviews, because it's arguably niche compared to the gameplay etc itself. I don't think mainstream gamers care or even know the difference about raster/dlss/frame times et.

Did you get this game yet?

No, but I am re-re-re-trying to get in to the first one and have gotten past my initial blocker. I rarely get anything on release tbh.
Just using 3 mods: Sorted Inventory, Instant Herbing, Bush Collision Remover.

I think your strength maybe too low for that particular bow, try a weaker bow until your strength is higher. Check the stats of bow first to be sure.
