Kingdom Come: Deliverance / Open-World RPG / Medieval History

I really want to play this, but I get motion sickness with 1st person games :( I have managed to play through Bioshock series in the past, but I had to take it nice and slow. Might have to watch a few youtube videos and see how I feel.

Although I think you said you tried r_VSync = 0 in your user.cfg, did you also put in sys_MaxFPS = [your max screen res]?

In my case I put in sys_MaxFPS = 75 (75 being the max res of my screen) and this made things 90% better for me in regards to stutter, general interactions and freezes etc.
I'm on a completely poo system compared to yours too (2500k, 8Gb of ram, AMD 380) but it's fine for me now on medium settings at 1080p.

i would even get the freezing on low settings for everything (albeit far less stuttering). In Talberg im basically running around. Running across the drawbridge always triggers it. It seems to happen more if im sprinting. Almost feels like it cant load the shaders or caches fast enough? From the hdd i dunno (its a ssd as well)

on v1.22 next thing to try is a different nvidia driver. I envy those of you who arent getting micro stutters but smooth moving about.

Agree about the sprinting and in towns generally for me previously - it's consistent with what everyone else is saying. A couple of other things I've seen people mention - set Physx to use GPU only and that it happens when your CPU hits 100% usage. Might be worth a look in both.

i need to sort out windows update first unfortunately...its botched jebus (again) (doesnt dl any updates or let me check) Microsoft ehh luv ya. So need to delete all the updates and dl em again. After that ill be trying different drivers etc. if im lucky ill get an hour or 2 of KCD in haha

prior to that i oced my cpu a bit and i manage to get a gpu display driver not responding blah blah with error code dxgi_error_device_hung.... hopefully its drivers as the gpu has been fine with all other games.....

Might have to watch a few youtube videos and see how I feel.

Most of the videos I've seen for it are using keyboard & mouse and the fast turning people do with mice gives me nausea. I wish broadcasting mouse users wouldn't constantly jiggle back and forth like some do.
I used to get a lot of problems with first person, but either myself or games have changed. Kingdom Come doesn't look like it would be too bad for first person sufferers. The generally open environment helps.

game feels like they did hardly any bug testing. It doesnt like ppl using external video recorders (bandicam) just crashes. Then i sometimes get messed up startup and cant see some of the screen.

I have heard some ppl have success sorting issues with updating to win10 hrmm maybe time is now to do it? Win10 is ok now right?

Does this have 3440*1440 support?

Some of the cutscenes are prerendered at a fixed aspect ratio (bad move on their part). I'm not sure which one is it, but at least in Eyefinity I lost the top and bottom part of the image and is a bit annoying, especially for a 2018 game. On your res however, since the horizontal FoV is lower than a triple display, I guess it should be much better if not perfect.

ya ultrawide 3440x1440p is fully supported..

even cutscenes inv map etc everything works fine i have noticed!

Was not even aware of the game until about 1 week before it came out, so missed out on the beta. I demoed the game and after reaching Rattay just went on GMG and got a Steam key for this fantastic game! Thought about waiting for the GOG release but can not wait haha, hopefully my save will work.

Edit - Lockpicking is pretty easy with mouse and keyboard, impossible with controller so I just switch when needed! As soon you get the first perk it makes it much easier.

Edit 2 - Had to buy the DLC for my save to work, not had a crash at all in around 8-10hours. Fire up the GMG copy load my save and it crashes after 30 seconds lol

Hmm trying the pick pocket exercise with the miller, but firt time around he "caught" me like 20 times.. then he ran way shouting for the guards, which later come and fined me 60 coins ? Glitch ? lol

Now, trying a second time and all he does is "caught you" can be a few second to half way around the dial. Was it this tedious for others as well, or me just having bad luck ?? I am sneaking and right behind him, don't seem to help though.

It's a mini-game of chicken - keep holding E until the small dial appears then release it just before you think he'll catch you - the colour changes at different speed from green to a dark brown or red. If your successful this is your alloted time to navigate around his pockets & filch something then make it back to the exit at 12 O'Clock.
