My kitchen is 4390 x 2645 which I'm getting totally gutted down to the brick, including new ceiling and flooring (chipboard) going to get LED lighting so any advice on type, links etc would be good and how many bulbs would I need? Also thinking about 2 settings / switches one for mood lighting and one for working. Switches would be stainless steel as sockets
Thinking about underfloor heating (depending on cost) and tiles
Any other ideas or suggestions?

Ohh and if anyone knows where I can get a small ice and water or just chilled water (plumbed) dispenser let me know I have only found one and that's over £800 :(

Ordered this kitchen from wickes http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sponsored/lifestyle/fitted-kitchens/9760704/amilia-classic-family-large.html

If it's Ceramic Floor Tiles, then I would never tile on chipboard.
And make sure the joists are well braced with noggins to stop movement on edge of boards..

Use hardi backer board for tiles it's waterproof, thinner, mould free, easier to cut, cheaper, more uniform and arguable adhesive sticks better.

I have 12 GE LED downlighters on 2 switches 8 on one 4 on another, space them out according to where your surfaces, hob and sink are not in a pretty square, 240v LEDs have next to no heat and require no transformer.

Use an extractor hood for low light and under cabinet LED's for night lighting i.e. making tea finding the biscuits etc.

Underfloor heating eBay has many electric heat mats which we have in our bathroom and they are great and fully controllable through the wall controller or as my dad has a blow heater built into the plinths to give instant heat, you canb get ones that link to your heating but you'd quite like a warm floor on early summer / autumn mornings when the heating isn't on.

Yep that's it just buy from a reputable seller.

i did

6mm Hardi backer board screwed at 150mm centres
Heat mat has double sided tape un peel and stick down
Spread a thin layer of adhesive to level and let go off
Spread adhesive bed
Lay tiles

Sounds very similar to what I did, we had a new kitchen stripped back to brick including new ceiling and floors last year.

Part led lighting, part low energy on 3 switches (stainless steel)

Also fitted underfloor heating and tiles in fact the only thing I didn't do was the chilled water dispenser so really similar to yours.

I made a thread about it here, if you have any specific questions ask away.

WOW!!!! Had a look through it, I thought mine will be a big job!! Looks fantastic, I'm on a lower budget but yes a lot is similar to mine

Not a fan of eBay LED lights, I'd rather go to QVS or similar and be able to take them back if they start playing around

if you get UFH then go for Thermo board.

Defiantly something I should have done, wouldn't have taken long to rip up the floor boards and lay between the joists in my kitchen.

How much are you budgeting? We're buying a new house shortly, and a complete kitchen re-fit is on the cards.

The kitchen from Wickes looks good :)

I estimate £13k really don't want to go much over that, I'm getting quotes and figures based on the most it will be.

I've got a (fillable) counter top water chiller (even lights up in a funky blue)
I think they are about £150? or you can have mine for £20 :D
