Klopp Out Arne In

I suspect whoever it is, is already agreed. Klopp mentions that this decision was taken months ago and they've chose to announce it now because stories will leak and the main reason for any leaks would be around an incoming manager.

Just seen this and still like what the actual ****, will watch his interview when done with work.

Totally devastated, knew day would come but didn’t think be this quick I thought least till end of next season.

First thought is keep Gerrard away isn’t ready to manage us.

If I had to just pick a name now I’d say Xabi Alonso give him a chance or Zebri from Brighton perhaps

I reckok the even money on Xabi is a decent price

It's likely to be Alonso, and if it is, you're lucky because he would definitely have been on his way to Madrid if things hadn't gone well for Ancelotti this season. He was apparently sick of it all in the summer, but only signed a new contract last month.

I don't post much in the Liverpool thread but they've been my childhood club ever since I went to Anfield with my dad.

This is a huge shock that I didn't see coming. Makes sense to go out on the top though, if he wins Europa that's every possible trophy, right?

Xabi is having a brilliant season in Germany and as much as I'd love to see him return (I'm still bitter Benetiz sold him when he did. I stand by the opinion the club fell apart one he left) I'm not sure if he'd want to take the job.

Interesting times ahead.

League will be worse without him, right up there with my favourite PL managers. Props to him for leaving pool in such a strong position, he's done a fantastic job refreshing that team.

Be interesting to see the effect this has on their form, most of the time players drop off but you can see them stepping it up a notch to give him a good send off. Almost feel bad about us doing the PL/CL double this season now, but i guess an EFL cup isn't a bad way to bow out.

Shocking news. Makes you realise just how great Fergie's reign at the top was though. Klopp hasn't even reached double figures. Xabi Alonso has to be a shoe in though, wish it was Gerrard :D

:( given the best years in my life time. Spoiled to have the best manager in the world for the past decade, replacement hasn’t a hope of achieving 50% of what he has despite the immense groundwork
