Knife in left, fork in right (say that quickly)-right handed, dont care for petty traditions and have never felt awkward either :D

apparently when I play the drums I play "left-handed"

Could be worse, you could be trying to use two spoons!

:p

Could be even worse and be using 2 mouldy chicken bones :)

At least 102 weirdoes have voted. Fork in right hand, knife in left? Barking....

Granted I'm a leftie but at least I was brought up proper like ;) (number 4)

Right Handed - Right Hand Fork / Left Hand Knife

I get told off by my girlfriend every now and then who was brought up with proper table manners..

She's lucky if I use a knife!

Fork in right??? What's wrong with you people?!

Personally Knife in left hand would seem strange as using a knife seems to require more strength and dexterity than using a fork, hence I use the knife in my right hand.

For 99% of the normal right handed population.

When your cutting a steak. You cut with your good hand that has a knife.
If on the odd occasion that I eat steak, I buy good steak and use as sharp knife. You don't need to hack at it with your "good hand". I'd much prefer to have better control over the sharp object I'm sticking in my face.

I can only assume these people holding the fork in their weaker hand are not meat lovers. I can't imagine having to use my left hand cutting through a nice piece of steak!

If your coordination is so poor that you have to actually work out which hand is the most "efficient" for shoving food in your gob, then all hope is truly lost for you.

This is about etiquette and etiquette dictates Left Handed - Fork in Left / Knife in Right or Right Handed - Fork in Left / Knife in Right. There are no deviations you peasants. :)

Right-handed and fork always in right hand.

Whilst this goes against traditional (stupid) rules, I always use my most accurate hand to direct food to my mouth. Putting food into my mouth with my left hand would feel weird and probably result in food all over my face and shirt.

Where's the ambidextrous options I feel discriminated against!

...Back on topic

Usually Fork in left Knife in right but I have been known to switch if the cutlery is put infront of me with the knife on the left and fork on the right also I've been known to eat with my bare hands!

Also there was the time of "THE PROFITEROLE CHALLENGE!":

The aim to fit as many profiteroles into your mouth without use of cutlery or hands basically smashing your face into the plate and munching as many profiteroles as you can I managed 9 before I had to give in and use my hands!

i use chopsticks ?
my mother feeds me ?
i am king i lay down and have hotties feed me grapes ?
i am fat so i never eat ?
i only drink fluids ?

now i did have a point i was going to make before typing the above...god knows what the hell it was.

I never said "efficient" so I'm not sure who you’re quoting. It didn't take much working out. You eat with fork, I'm right handed so I use my fork in my right hand. You cut with a knife and I've never had any problems cutting my food so it really makes very little differnce which hand the knife is in.

I'll let you into a secret. Nobody knows if you're left or right handed unless they ask ;)

Right handed - knife in right hand, fork in left.

It seems that table manners are dying away, I guess it's because people don't have evening meals sat at the table as a family so much now, it's a shame really and I applaud you if you do make your family sit at the table to eat.

What do manners have to do with which hand you feel comfortable using your fork with? Really don't get why people think its such bad manners.
