And he would have had he been allowed to overtake. You're the one always banging on about being fastest over the course of a full gp event light to flag, well ralf would have been fastest. It doesn't matter that he wasn't leading up until that point, that proves nothing.

Ralf was much faster than Damon and deserved to have the win, except Damon was on the radio crying basically threatening the team that if they allowed ralf to attack they wouldn't finish the race.

Maybe Ralf was at one point in the race, who knows what he would have done leading (with the added pressure that brings) - no proof at all that RS would have been able to complete the move in the first place let alone hang on

You are also presuming that DH actually means he will take them both out, rather than just race harder (which he was much more capable of doing than Ralf)

DH was managing his car in those conditions - rather than RS who wanted to go as fast as possible no matter the consequences

he came across as a spoilt child born with a silver spoon in his mouth throwing his toys out of the pram because he team mate was clearly much faster and would have easily overtaken him for the lead.

That's how champions are, you don't win by being fair and giving your team mate (or any other racer) a chance.

Indeed.

Many people believe that win many races/WDCs, you have to be fastest. This is not the case. There are many more facets of a driver which make him a race/title winner. Working the political angle is a very important skill to have. Prost was the best at this and he won 4 titles.

Sometimes, races/titles can be won off the track, before a single race has even started (Prost, 1993).

On a lighter note: Lothario strikes again :D

doesnt make much difference when everyone will be on the same tyre at the same times apart from a few backmarkets that go forever on hards.

all the cars will pit within 1-2 laps of each other. i'd give a left testicle for refueling f1 is to obvious these days and teams dont need to second guess each others stratergies because they will all do a carbon copy of each others

Yep, but that's true regardless of what the tyre or pits or fuel rules are. There will always be a 'best' strategy, and it won't take long for all the teams to figure it out.

Depends how much dry running they get before quali and the race - even then we have seen how the "best" strategy doesn't necessarily go to plan.

Was going to do it on Tuesdays where possible :)

Mondays/Tuesdays would be ideal - quite a lot of the news seems to start around then, especially with a 2 week gap.

some cars are always better than others with lighter fuel loads though , the ferrari this year never seems to do that well at the start of a race but once the fuel loads are down the laptimes come.

maybe they refueling someone might have been able to get close enough to vettel to atleast keep him honest
