US: Krypton (US timeline)

Wow what a terrible actor and job of Lobo, like they found a non skinny welsh bloke with camp comedy to the mix, what the devil was that performance.

Really should have been the main premise of season 2 just done right, doomsday and brainiac was nice to have but overall I did not get Krypton at all, too much sub plot, characters, zods mum and zod and then baddies dumped in with last minute back drops at the end, glad its over tbh and I can see why it had low viewing figures.

Welsh? He's from Dublin :p Still, I really wasn't expecting Lobo to have an Irish accent either :D
Yeah, it was an, erm... 'Interesting' take on the character.

As for S2 in general, I thought it dragged a bit with all the misery.

- Grandma Zod's speech cadence especially annoyed the **** out of me.
- General Zod wasn't bad IMO. I like how he balanced the Terence Stamp "KNEEEEL" megalomania aspect without getting too campy. I liked his Zod better than Michael Shannon's tbh.
- Brainiac was decent.
- Couple of good Doomsday scenes, like the initial moon confrontation and the hero sacrifice head popping bit. Surpised me with some of the gore in that one, and showing his background/creation was cool.
- I have a slight man-crush on Seg-El :o So do you.

Shame it's canned, but I won't miss it.

Shame regarding the cancellation but S2 was a complete mess with the massive Zod plot. Too many characters and subplot after subplot made me stop watching about 2 episodes ago.

Yeah they made the whole thing into a dog's dinner. Lobo was insane and a big mistake. Its making the same daft mistakes Gotham did.

+1 for last 2 comments

Its rare for tv or films to have success if there are a dozen characters and a dozen sub plots being told imo, gotta keep things simple and brief otherwise you can't digest the dogs dinner !
