Kyle Rittenhouse - teen who shot three people in Kenosha

I never said the steam was neutral, I said it was nine lawyers commenting which is far more insightful than a layperson commenting.

And fyi the stream was linked earlier in the thread by another member so I haven't watched the other videos on the channel, but it's not really relevant to the trial. Another thing to consider is that you and the other usual suspects like jono regard everything right of left to be far right.

You can't be a libertarian if you are "right wing" by your definition of the word.

You can't have watched that stream and not come to the conclusion that they were not just a right bias but properly right wing. They couldn't leave their bias at the door. That isn't insightful, you'd be better off watching the feed with no one commentating. And I'd be saying the same if there was a feed that had a huge left bias. It is just an echo chamber.

If you are listening now - it sounds like the video resolution thing is a big fat nothing burger. if the prosecution is to be believed, it sounds like a tech error from the defense size. Its likely going to be impossible for the defense to prove otherwise and its HIGHLY unlikely that the prosecution is just flat out lying to the judge now.

'bandwidth low, turning to 480p'

He literally just said "If I knew how to compress files I would be in a much better job" :D :D

Trial has just turned into WInRAR.

Edit*
And this woman has just said the video file was a 4 "millibyte video" :D :D

And ladies and gents this has just turned into a tech knowledge black hole. This is why people who don't understand the internet and computers/phones should not be dealing with cases where stuff like this is used to exchange key evidence.

It also amazes me that they use personal email accounts over there to exchange evidential data. When I worked in digital forensics nothing left the realms of the internal email exchange. Files are also hashed so there's no doubt on what you are getting is the source material.

True.

I imagine its going to be very difficult for the defense to take this anywhere. If the prosecution is just flat out lying to the judge now, i would be gobsmacked.

Yeah it's pretty shocking for chain of custody, I don't think there will be any real impact on this case though as the video doesn't really show anything significant.

the prosecution think it does, literally there whole case is based on it.

email doesn’t compress on recite. It’s obvious the prosecution guy just clicked though the pop up on his phone about sending a small, medium, large or actual copy of the file.

Yeah they do or at least claim to, but if you watch the video I don't think it shows anything significant, certainly wouldn't be a deciding factor for me as a juror.

I'm astounded by the incompetency of the lawyers from both sides, in a case so high profile... What dosnt surprise me is the "scummyness" of them.

Yeah the incompetence is astonishing, it's only because there's no real case that things are coming across as good for Kyle, the prosecutorial overreach on the 5th amendment and evidence not allowed by the judge was reprehensible though.

All parties just look amaterish. The Millibytes whilst worth a snigger, you are talking about whether someone spends more then like a lifely sentence behind bars or not. Its pathetic. The judge on several occasions looks like he's having a laugh in there aswell.

Regardless of what you think of Kyle, he deserves a fair trial and the victims families shouldn't have to watch some judge snigger and laugh constantly.

As much as he is a bit of a character, and already being portrayed as biased by the media (on both sides). I think it’s clear he wants the jury’s verdict to be as “safe” as possible.

Yup it's the jury that decide the fate ultimately so they need to see the full quality video and other evidence etc which is why the judge was saying get a clean computer, get the files put on it however, take it upstairs and let them at it.

I get that but why isnt there someone in there who knows what the hell they are talking about. Its like a SNL sketch.
