Kyle Rittenhouse - teen who shot three people in Kenosha

Because they ended up putting distance between themselves and the weapon. If they had stayed on top of him / got hands on the gun he wouldnt have been able to do so.

Just curious - have you watched the video? at one point one of them (skateboard guy) actually grabs hold of the gun and tries to wrestle it away from Kyle but fails, and gets shot.

Its obvious you can't see past the gun as being omni powerful. It a magic wand that defeats all opponents, and can only be used if you are actually near to death.

That makes no sense. Which is why the law isn't phrased like that.

Well it's not limited to guns, it could be anything - in this case it's a gun.

Also - it's exactly how the law is phrased, it has to be imminent death or great bodily harm;

How on earth is it imaginary when it is exactly what happened?

Ive not missed out on anything and never denied that Grosskreutz didn't have his weapon pointed at Kyle just before being shot

Grosskreutz approaches Kyle
Kyle turns with his his rifle pointed at Grosskreutz
Grosskreutz surrenders/cowers
Kyle lowers his rifle
Grosskreutz proceeds to approach with his pistol in one hand pointed at Kyle
Kyle shoots him

That's what we have all been saying....since day 1
And this is your first post you actually stated stuff.

At least that's something. and @dowie missed it :cry::cry:

See it could be equally argued that Rittenhouse's gun is a completely natural position for someone that is trying to sit up from being in a prone position, that's the issue with just using a still/picture without prior context, the 2nd image in particular if you were to move on a few frames shows the gun pointed at the floor.

With respect thats nonsense.

You don't run and catch up with someone your trying to get out of the way from. Clear from the video Rosenbaum was catching him. No way Rittenhouse was getting away running.

All you can say is that he shot him, not that he shot to kill. In fact 3 of the wounds were non lethal. It's was the last shot which killed him and that's just entirely random.

What you're basically implying is the onus is the person retreating to retreat harder not the person attacking to not attack. Ignoring the insanity of that, the law is phrased to support the person defending and retreating.

It to be at least a half-marathon or it doesn't count.

A. I was asked for stills...?
B. I provided the video as well...?

You are now introducing arguments I haven't made in those posts in terms of intentions though. I was providing evidence that I was correct in my description of events, which was said to be false or imaginary by posters here.

On your extra point here, I never said the guns being pointed were definitely intentional either. We can only assume intent here. That argument could be made for both Kyle and Grosskreutz. In fact i believe Grosskreutz testified to this, in that his gun was in his hand but didn't intend to point it at Kyle on his second approach.

For me i think Kyle registers Grosskreutz and turns to prepare to aim/fire but sees him cower/hold his hands up so lowers his rifle. I then believe Grosskreutz moves on him in an attempt to apprehend him/disarm him.

The big difference here for me (in terms of the mindset Kyle was in) is that when Grosskreutz sees a rifle pointed at him, even when armed, he surrenders/covers and does not use deadly force. When Kyle sees a gun pointed at him, he immediately uses deadly force.

Here you go again.

One does not aim a gun at someone who also has a gun to "apprehend him/disarm him"
Not even the police do that.

So what do you think his intention was? You honestly think Grosskreutz was just going to stand over him and execute him? That is fanciful.

As the prosecution pointed out, if Geosskreutz was intent on shooting Kyle, he had ample opportunity to do so.

It's ******* obvious what happened. The rioting mob spotted a non-rioter and attacked, like has happened numerous times before. Only this time they actually got some consequences rather than just strolling off with impunity. I hope it happens a lot more until dregs are afraid to burn down cities.
