That city is so corrupt it's not funny.
The mayor who let Kenosha burn, the DA, and the lead detective in the Kyle Rittenhouse case are all members of the same family.

A conflict of interest if ever I saw one.

Also the Detective Ben Antaramian has family ties to the Kenosha mayor, a state representative, and a county board supervisor, a Kenosha city judge, and a Kenosha city attorney.

The whole system in that democratic city is corrupt.

No wonder my X-wife left there years ago.

It shouldn't be vague at all though - in public office their relationships should be declared IMO. However tenuous. If they bump into each other regularly/have a connection more meaningful than professional, it should be isolated to prevent any bias (unconscious or otherwise).

Detective Benjamin Antaramian is the nephew of Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian. The mayor’s cousin is the Kenosha City Attorney, Ed Antaramian (D); his nephew is the Kenosha City Judge Michael Easton (D); his other nephew is Thaddeus “Tip” McGuire (D), State Representative; and his other cousin is Laura Belsky (D), County Board Supervisor.
 
I've lost track now on what left/right wing view. Seems the consensus is the judge is iffy, and both defence and prosecution are garbage, but both sides covering their bases (presumptions jurors will get doxxed by the right wing idiots, but i've heard equal idiots claim jurors will get murdered by light wing idiots).

IMO it'll come down to how many of the jurors think the kid LARPing was enough of an issue, to get himself into such a situation in the first place.

Well it sounds like that is declared then?

Also maybe I'm the weird one, but I don't have much to do with my adult nephews and nothing to do with my cousins - And we all (mostly) live in the same city. I wouldn't even know most of my cousins if I walked past them.

Americans and family can be really quite weird, they'll often have gatherings multiple times a year where extended family members get together - holidays and what not. I've live within 30 miles of most of mine and try my hardest to avoid the vast majority of them!

Imagine you are a builder and your nephew is a plumber. I bet you'd have more reason to talk than you do right now :p

Its quite obvious to any rational thinking person thats seen all the evidence knows who the "provoker" was, it wasnt the person minding his own business with the gun, it was the guy chasing him, and after having a rifle pointed directly at you STILL contiune to chase until you lunge for the gun and get shot, I do believe the term "**** around and find out" is applicable.
