Lad breaks into a house and is killed...

To be honest I dont even find any of that funny.

Sure he got stabbed robbing somewhere, but i cant believe how harsh some people are. Hes a young lad who bled to death after a stabbing, I dont care what anyone says thats not deserved

And for the record, ill repeat, we have been burgled 3 times.

The problem I have with this sort of thing is not the jokes themselves necessarily, more the hypocrisy behind it.

Its somehow socially acceptable to post jokes of a kid whose been stabbed over burglary but its not okay to make jokes about (for example) Jade Goody?

That's the impression I get from this forum and Facebook aswell in fact.

People will always be harsh about things like this in a public domain, but its when those same people become self-righteous about something else that really annoys me.

Why is it when I look at his picture I think he's making the NNNGGGNGNGGNGNN tongue under bottom lip sound.

Stupid idiot shouldn't have broken into somewhere. Hopefully some of his numbnuts solja friends will learn a lesson.
 
I don't agree with the jokes, I mean there have got to be hundreds, if not thousands of people who've commited crimes in this country where something similar could have happened but didn't. It's a shame this kid didn't have a chance to sort his life out but then, if things are as they appear on the surface, he had no one to blame but himself for creating the situation.

It 100% is, and they have been, anyone who dies and is in the media spotlight gets jokes, it's the norm now, sometimes I get them by text and half the time they show up on these forums.

Yes, I realise that its okay in general real life but according to FB and OcUK it isn't. I've seen a few Jade joke posts get deleted on here and a lot of morally indignant people post angry comments about the jokes on FB etc.

The point is that if you make jokes about this kid, you won't recieve anything like normal backlash and many people would agree with you.

Jade on the other hand was just a bit dim and then got dealt the media card and the cancer card :(
Although I did lol at the "why so cancerous" picture on random pictures the other day.

Well don't blame the people posting them, blame the people moderating said posts.

Either way, they're just words.

Actually they mostly sorted out people they didn't like the look of (like middle-aged women living alone) and if they caught any criminals along the way, well, they were lucky. And if you were rich, you just bought off your accusers. At least that bit hasn't changed though.

Even if he lived and got caught, all he'd get a slap on the wrists anyway and 'community service' - ha what a joke that is.

Whilst death is not good in this instance, if he just got a damn good beating - I bet the occupiers life would be ruined by a court case for gbh and against the lads 'human rights' and all that palava...

Not really. Only difference is that one's a kid. You don't know a thing about him yet are completely happy to jump to conclusions.

Neither did Jade get dealt the 'media card' as you like to call it.

However, that's missing the point. Its just interesting how you try to justify one and possibly treat the other incident differently (I'm not saying you specifically condemn the Goody jokes or anything).
 
As far as I'm concerned, if you break into a house and get stabbed by the owner - that's fair enough. I doubt the owner was trying to kill him - was probably just trying to defend his family and I would do the same thing. The kid and anyone else like him gets no sympathy from me! Indeed I feel sorry for the owner who will probably go to jail now.....:(
