Advert for this popped up after watching Lioness (another Taylor Sheridan show) and the first few episodes have been pretty decent so far.

...although the Wife and Daughter scenes are a bit over the top - particularly the whole getting drunk at the country club "sketch".
Yup, i'm not entirely sure what it added but then i'm not really convinced about the ex-wife storyline to be honest, it seems a little redundant. Maybe it'll change.
I did chuckle at the scene between the daughter and Tommy at the football game though - the look on his face was great

Not bad but beginning to wonder if Taylor Sheridan is actually just one bloke or a pseudonym for several writers. If not, then the guy must never sleep.

Guess it's Dallas for the 2020's, just hope it's not going to get bogged down with romantic interventions. And yes the scene where the daughter was describing in great detail how she avoided getting pregnant was a bit squirm worthy, though I heard the missus chuckle (or maybe it was a snort). Will give it a chance but there is a danger that all these TS shows might start to get a bit samey and predictable.

Episode4 expanded on some characters nicely. BBT is still absolute quality with his line deliveries though and is the best part of the show. That finance chap who lives in the mansion with him is hilarious - all he wants to do is his job and he's got two hotties invading his space lol.

Waiting every week for this show is the worst part.

Right, we need to talk because this is quite frankly beyond ridiculous.

Look, I get it, you're all hollywood bods and aren't trained in the dark art of pipe fitting, like me. However, the absolute disgrace of disdain exhibited towards us finer beings who do know pipe fitting is beyond reprehensible.

Knocking on a pair of stilsons with a mallet? Are you people on crack? That's the literal reason you had a spark and it wiped out half the cast. Bang, bang, BANG. Everyone knows that when loosening pipework or fittings you have to use torque, and the flex in the stilsons. Not just stick them on the fitting and then hit them with a hammer you absolute philistines. These teachings can still be found on the walls of caves that were painted a million years ago by our ancestors. You have no excuse.

And what's with holding the stilsons the wrong way around? Anyone who's anyone in the pipe fitting biz knows that holding these bad boys the wrong way around will not give you any grip at all, you may as well try and work the pipe with your eyeballs. On the contrary, holding them the correct way and applying force in the correct direction will result in a grip that will make Thor's grip on Mjolnir look like a brownie girl selling cookies.

Quite why these very basic principles of of pipe fitting elude you so much is beyond me, us pipe fitters are like Warhammer nerds when it comes to our passion, once you pop the lid we won't stop talking until you shut the valve. It's not like you would've had a hard time trying to find someone to educate you on the matter, you bottom feeding cretins.

For context, here's me holding a pair of my stilsons, in case there was any doubt.

Yes, I'd have loosened that valve in seconds and without killing my team.

You absolute pine cones.

Sheridan is on a roll, his shows are a breeze of fresh air amongst all the woke **** that we see more and more of... I suppose Lioness is questionable, some scenes are a bit cringe.

Absolutely love this show. Episode5 is still great whilst being comical. I love BBT's family interactions not to mention Nathan and Coopers characters. It is odd that Demi Moore is 'in' this show but rarely shown so I think her role has yet to fully emerge.

haha nice. i dont get why you wouldnt of just put a pipe on the stilsons for extra leverage. bit odd but its how it went.

Started on this yesterday and loved it. BBT steals the show, his sense of timing and delivery is on another level, even he facial expressions just work. Reminds me of a comedian who can make you laugh without saying much.

Lost interest after about five or six episodes. Thought it was going to be a bit gritty and dark but it all feels a bit generic and vanilla. Also John Hamm and Demi Moores characters could have been played by anyone such is their lack of screen time.

Absolutely loving the show. I think it is about to get dark however as I smell a kidnapping on the horizon and also it looks clear that Monty (Hamm) will have heart issues allowing Demi Moore's character to take over - she's hilariously wasted so far.

BBT is just on another level to everyone else for me. I don't know much of the actor but god his expressions and line delivery in this show is just fantastic. The actress playing the lawyer Rebecca though - she's doing it too well...I hate her smugness!

Mixed reviews on this, some saying the pipe fitting is exemplary whilst others are moaning about the objectification of women and creepy age difference relationships.

I think I’ll give it a bash, if only for the beautiful art of pipe fitting.
