Watched the first episode last night now it's finished s1 run, was not expecting it to end like it did, not grabbed me so far unlike some of the previous Sheridan shows first episodes like Mayor of Kingstown and Lioness but I'll keep at it, was surprised that Demi Moore didn't appear in the first episode at all considering she's one of the 'main billed' characters.

Really enjoyed the show for most of it.

I didn't see the point of the mother and daughter though. They offered nothing at all. Just two poorly written characters that sick out like a sore thumb.

I saw them as comic relief to lighten the mood after some of the much darker moments, and also a reflection of how detached outsiders are from the oil business.

I think any comic relief I had was always evaporated when I remembered this sexually charged girl was 17 and her mother was encouraging her to **** it up.

For me, It was always a good time when Dale was on screen. Found him the funniest character either intentionally or not

Age of consent is 17 in Texas I believe though...

And in some parts of the world age of consent is 13. Doesn't mean it would make me feel any more comfortable watching it if it were on a series.
All they had to do was say she was 18 and it would've been a non issue.

Just for me personally I don't like seeing a 17 year old, even if she is played by someone who is 27, all freaked up on my TV. Just was a weak point in something I thought was otherwise excellent

Some of the conversations she had with her family were bonkers. I get some families are open but as a father I wouldn't want to hear my daughter telling me the things his daughter did. It was just weird.

Finished it earlier and it has it's moments but one of the weaker Sheridan shows so far, hopefully it gets picked up for s2 as Billy Bob says if it does they'll start filming again in Feb / March with how it ended.

Felt at times like it needed a huge this program is sponsored by 'big oil' banner with how heavy they were getting the message across that anything but oil is bad.

If we do get s2 hopefully they rework Rebecca more due to her new role, she was starting to mellow out slightly in the middle then they ramped her back up the other way.

I thought it started out great, but lost its way towards the end of the seaon. As others have said, the writer's pervy obession with the daughter was a bit weird and uncomfortable though.
