Yeah that would NEVER work!
Go through any 50 mph average speed check zone, and watch all the lorries jump into the middle lane because they want to do 52mph.
Well its working in the m60, still bad but it's better than a few years back.

would solve nothing, you'll still have people doing lower or higher speeds. Kinda like the speed limit solves nothing![]()

You should get out of the executive lane if you're doing less than 85. Thems the rules.

It's called the Audi lane. BMWs are allowed on it too.![]()
. If was pm I'd make it a 400hp + lane whether it be 2 or 3 lanes
muhaha.I think you will find its the German car lane. If was pm I'd make it a 400hp + lane whether it be 2 or 3 lanes

Where there's 4 lanes can we make the 4th lane 800hp+ then please, pretty please![]()

We've had this conversation before but I'll explain why some do it (middle lane):
-Traffic in left lane is going slower than they wish to travel and they get fed up changing lane all the time i.e. weaving in and out but (unlike outside lane) are still leaving a lane outside them for anyone who wants to go faster
-Sometimes if they pull over into left lane, other drivers won't let them out so they have to reduce speed behind the slow traffic until they are finally released rather than being able to maintain a stable speed
-When approaching an on-slip, they want to leave more room for new traffic entering the motorway
-When approaching an off-slip they don't wish to take themselves, they want to avoid the queue of traffic in the left lane
-They are driving at 70mph+ so believe that anyone who wants to break the speed limit by overtaking them should have to do so in the outside lane
I am not suggesting that these are all 'valid'/legal reasons, just the mindset.
This video always pops up in my mind when lane hogging threads come around:

Is there anyone here who thinks it's acceptable to sit in the outside or middle lane despite not overtaking imminently and having cars behind you?

Saw a guy who kept drifting over 2 lanes this morning :/
Either on the phone or trying to push in without indicating. Either way I didn't let him in before the turn off![]()

I can understand this but it's no more annoying to me than someone who stops an entire roundabout by not indicating.
Honestly it should be an offence too.
