Off to Vegas on Saturday, anyone got any good everyday eat type places?

Got a big meal booked at Bouchon, probably going to go to one of the big steak places (think I've narrowed it down to Carnevino or Delmonico but could still be swayed elsewhere).

Elsewhere, I've got the following on radar:
Abriya Raku
In-N-Out Burger
Holsteins
Blue Ribbon Sushi

I did want to stick close to the strip if possible, I'll be with a group of lads on a stag so it might be tricky to go far

Don't go to Vegas expecting much from the food. I don't think we had a good meal in the two weeks we were there. We had 3 great meals in 3 nights in California however.

Just stick to fast food burgers for the lads :)

you went to the wrong places then

for a group of lads this place is a must

Holsteins is excellent, in and out burger not worth the trek

re steaks

Carneviniho is good but a little different, make sure its actually what you want, I wasn't impressed by Delmonicos

Steak house recommendations (with approx pp prices for starter, main, side and a couple of beers, exc tax and tip)

Circus Circus steakhouse $50-70
Del Friscos $70-90
Gordon Ramsay $80-100
Prime £80-120

Prime ia superb but probably a bit stuffy for a gorup of blokes, all others are fine

Outback steakhouse and margaritavill were my favourite places to eat. There is meant to be a great steak restaurant in circus circus but i never tried it, you will need to book

If you like guns make sure you go to the gun store too, it's awesome!

surpirsed you aren't taking in one of the top joints oli :)

I'm with 8 lads on a stag so makes it tricky, the top places look bloomin expensive but reviews seem a bit mixed so not too worried about missing out

From what I've read, Carnevino does some pretty crazy ageing on their steaks and their beef tasting menu looks fun, the reason I had delmonico on was partially due to their ridiculous whisky menu, I don't know if that's available away from the restaurant itself though?

We're off I battlefield Vegas for shooting - should be fun!

Ahh Vegas. Have two weeks booked for July, enjoy yourself!

Places I like:

Steak- Cut in Palazzo is perhaps a bit stuffy for a gang of lads but do a mean steak. I had the tasting platter, awesome. Service out of this world.

Cafe Society in Encore always gets my recommendation for their bone in ribeye. It's my fave steak ever. It's very informal so may be good for your group.

Circus Circus steakhouse is old school to the max but again a great meal.

With a gang of guys I would echo Rottys recommendation about hot and juicy. We went a couple of times last trip, it is that good! But it's off strip so needs a cab.

In and out is also off strip but the best fast food burger you will have. Don't forget to order off the secret menu, double double animal style with animal style fries.

Freemont street is worth a trip up to on the weekend, it's a bit more relaxed than the strip and I found the atmosphere more fun just wandering under the huge tv canopy. Grab a cheap prime rib dinner and drink cheaply too.

Holsteins do a tasty burger but a really good shout would be to hit the buffets. You will be able to accommodate everyone's taste in the group that way, plus some offer an upgrade to include unlimited beer! Cosmo and Wynn buffets are my fave but am reading good things about the Bacchanal buffet at Caesars.

A BBQ restaurant may be a good shout but again most are off strip. Memphis championship BBQ gets my vote, very good place.

For everyday eats, Cheesecake Factory or Denny's. Denny's is cheap as chips and as good as most pub fare over here.

Tacos el Gordo - http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restau...-Reviews-Tacos_el_Gordo-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

The best Taco's imaginable. Honestly amazing, and they are $2 each or something ridiculous. It's just past the Wynn / Encore on the right hand side. Would be good with a group of lads as you can pop over to the off license, get a couple of cold ones, and sit outside and just chill out with the Taco's. I really can't recommend it enough.

Earl of Sandwich (Planet Hollywood) is also the best drunk food imaginable.

Enjoy!

really wasn't that impressed with Earl of Sandwich, will try the Taco place next time though, looks good :)

Taco gaff added to the list for thi summer trip, nice one! Earl of Sandwich was a bit underwhelming, just a plain old sandwich really...

Looking for a good French dip sandwich and prime rib dinner this time

We were going to go there but heard bad things about it.

There is one in Florida though so gunna try that one in June.

there is another on same lines called The Boiling Crab, we went to go there but it wasn't open so we to Hot and Juicy and it was superb

Can get a 24hr unlimited pass to go to any of the Caesar owned casinos buffets for like 50bucks. Includes Paris, planet Hollywood, harrahs. Good value and the buffets are decent enough.
