Don't tell Mamma

thiough weeknights can be quiet on Fremont

We ended up in don't tell mamma - great live music! Until some of our lot came on!

SW steakhouse was a mixed bag. Steak was great, but really didn't like the sides. The mac and cheese was very wet if that makes any sense - but maybe that's how they do it over here? The black truffle creamed corn (recommended by the waitress) was awful, bar the blak truffle. Think it's the first time of had creamed corn so maybe it's not for me, but thought the consistency was awful, it was like spreading baby food on steak!

I had the best mac and cheese of my life in Blue Smoke BBQ in NYC. I also had the strangest side of my life in Quality Meats, NYC; Corn Creme Brulee- was almost a dessert it was so sweet.

if you want to rebalance the truffle mac and cheese get to American Fish in ****, it's superb :)

and they do it on a bar snack happy hour late afternoons :)

Why not pop into the Mandalay Bay for a fleurburger

Looking for somewhere really special to top the list off in terms of the view/ decor. Mrs fancies Eiffel Tower restaurant and I fancy Prime. Mix is also getting a look in but not sure on the view... Any other recommendations for a truly memorable meal?

Got another 5 nights left in Vegas, currently chilling in the four seasons after destroying the bacchanal buffet at Caesars. Ate some great meals so far, Blue Ribbon Sushi was awesome as was the bacchanal buffet.

Will do a full trip report but found a new king of BBQ- Rollin' Smoke, it's stunningly good food (restaurant is.....basic).

E at Jaleo (separate chefs table room) difficult to get in but looks amazing

Spoke to them when we were at the Cosmo (had a 1 bedroom terrace suite which was amazing...new fave room in Vegas, view is something else and it's huge with a full kitchen/bar and washer/dryer) and they said E has a 2 month wait at the minute but if two cancel they will call us.

Thinking of Prime or SW? Mrs fancies Eiffel Tower restaurant, I'm not keen.

4 Seasons is rubbish compared to Mandarin Oriental. Feel like I have gone back in time; everything is dark wood and gold. Pool is nice and quiet though and the private access from Mandalay Bay casino is good.

Back from Vegas, very jet lagged and depressed to be home to this cold weather :)

We ended up in botero for our last night which was quite simply the best meal I have ever had!
We had a reservation for Gordon Ramsay at Paris but walked out after 20 minutes sat at the table with no menu given to us and the waiter making a sarcastic comment when I said there was a lot of British beer on the menu. He just pointed to the Union Jack flag on the ceiling as if to say 'look where you are'- it was at that point we just got up and walked. Place was heaving, tables on top of each other and no table cloths. Avoid!
