Last day of the Premiership.. *Match SPOILERS*

Hes a Newcastle player , first and foremost therefore England can go away and copulate.

...and as a Newcastle player, he probably shouldn't be playing if he's not fit :)

With an established player like Owen, you know when you buy him that you are going to lose him to a few international matches, and indeed some of his focus will be for the big tournies. That's part of there reason why I can't stand the moaning some managers do about the ACoN.

who are UTD going to sign this summer then?!

Forlan.

Great result today - absolute blinder from Richardson, wish he would play like that all the time.

I'm so annoyed with the Ruud situation. Ferguson has now cost us at least three hugely influential players (RvN, Stam, Keane) and it's becoming a joke. He acts like a spoiled brat - someone goes against him and he immediately writes them off for life despite how valuable they are to the team. I don't see how we can either afford to buy or even find a player who will offer a similar goal return to the one Ruud has provided us with. We're sunk for next season if Saha gets any sort of knock and Rooney and Rossi will burn out very fast if we lay all the team's hopes on them alone.

Case in point. Fergie still refusing to be interviewed by the BBC... Grow the **** up!

lol did anyone see ferdinand stocking up during the match? :D i think they were jaffa cakes. what the hell??

henry magic as usual. its so stupid to say that his kiss on the turf was a farewell to the club. if he didn't score the 3rd he wouldn't of kissed it, and nothing would have been said. something made out of nothing.

I agree with you. Ferguson is a liar. He came out publicly a few months back stating that RVN would still be a Man Utd player next season, knowing all along that he was going to sideline him for basically the remainder of the season and knowing full well that RVN would want to leave.

Richardson can be an awesome player for us, but it won't stop me hating the ******. He is without doubt the most arrogant player at Old Trafford. I have a few cousins and friends in Manchester and they've spotted him quite a few times in town or outside our carrington training ground. And every time he is acting the arse. I've heard a few stories about him as well from other sources, one in particular really ticks me off.

All the players turn up for training in their £50,000+ cars. Including Richardson. But he doesn't actually park it, he drives right up to the entrance and gets out and tosses the keys to a couple of security guards and tells them to park it for him and then swaggers into the training ground. Now you'd think that the security guards would have thrown the keys back at his face and tell him to park his own bloody car, but the fear of losing their jobs stops them. So they park it.

And there was a recent story about Park's car being vandalised by some Utd players after training. Guess who orchestrated the whole thing? Just to belittle a guy who doesn't speak much English and has only lived here for less than a year. You guessed it. And apparently he told Park to buy a real ******* car because he doesn't want it parked next to his and it lets all the cars down. What an absolute *****! Park was really upset about it, he drove it because he is sponsored by them back home (Kia I think).

I could bring up other stories about when Richardson was at West Brom but I'll leave it at that. He just oozes arrogance on the pitch as well.

Sorry Vandle et all, don't want to piddle on your celebrations of qualifying for the Intertoto, but if you hadnt won yesterday I would sincerely expect Roeder out signs to be going up today!
You could see how important JM felt the the match was by the fact that we started without a striker, and a 3-4-3 of
Pidgeley; Huth ,Carvalho, Gallas ; Johnson, Diarra, Maniche, Ferreira; J Cole, Robben, Duff - Gallas got to be captain which was nice, Cudicini was injured in the warm up and so Lenny Pidgley had his first full run out.
Babayaro, much as I love the little spud, really should have seen a red for taking out Robben - though I thought Carr was a little unlucky to get a straight red.
Lenny had very little to do - certainly first half (1 shot on target I think) though Brambles goal was a belter.
Diarra looked very comfortable and his "mini-Maka" impression is coming on a treat :)
Would have been nice to beaten our own record of 29 victories in a season, but hey ho - leagues over, trophies presented and its last game of the season against Newcastle...again.....
Why don't you like celery Vandle?
Makes you grow up big and strong....

It really gets to me to think how well we've done int he second half and how poor we did int he first , i truly believe we would have been 4th if we had never signed souness, 4th place was only 9 points ahead of us, if we hadn't of had that god awful run against teams like man city, wigan etc we woulda easily made up the 9 points.

sadly its all a case of what if's , maybes and buts. a couple of good signings in the summer, hopefully a few less injured players and i reckon we can look forward to a good season.

***** sake that's really sick

I hadn't heard any of that previously and it has put me right off him. Why wasn't the Park thing given some coverage? Any idea who else was involved/what they did?

I didn't realise he was like that, he has no reason to be arrogant because he's nowhere near good enough to be. It also smacks of bad team discipline if this sort of **** is going on under Fergie.

Was a great atmosphere , nowt like a crap ref and set of flashy cockneys to get the hackels of the crowd up. :p

Manchesters very own Kieron Dyer :D

Vandle - Celery being chucked about (between our own fans, not at others.................much) has been going on for years...heres a lttle story that made me chuckle about the "throwing celery without lawful authority" - its been happening for as long as I remember- though usually at big matches/cup games etc....so it kinda died down for a few years :D

I was expecting away allocation to be pretty full, you nearly had me biting last week at the "500 fans comment" ;) , though you need to do something about your stewarding - every year I get stories of how our chaps are threatened with ejection/police action for the most innocuous things...and while you're at it get an escalator/lifts to save peoples legs on the journey up to the gods, hmmm?

Fans sent spinning after tossing salad
Wednesday April 17, 2002
By Scott Murray

Nick Hornby and the rest of the Islington soccerati were not the first football fans to toss salad; Chelsea fans have been flinging celery around at games since the mid-80s. So it came as something of a shock to three of their number when they were hauled out of the crowd during their team's FA Cup semi-final against Fulham and charged with "throwing celery without lawful authority".

Charlie Driver, 40, David Blake, 28, and Robbie Sanders, 28, were today given good behaviour orders by Birmingham magistrates after they were dragged from the Villa Park stands for throwing the vegetable in the general direction of Fulham manager Jean Tigana.

The court, which was told how Chelsea fans traditionally lob the vegetable about to the refrain "if she don't come, I'll tickle her bum with a stick of celery", took into account the friendly atmosphere surrounding the semi-final, and the fact that no celery was actually thrown onto the pitch/allotment.

The three will each be fined £300 if they break the order or are caught throwing celery in the next 12 months.

Speaking after the hearing, Mr Driver, who has never been in trouble with the police before, said: "I'm relieved I can still go and watch Chelsea, still keep my season ticket and I've got no criminal convictions.

"I won't be eating any celery anymore, or throwing it."

But how does a fan gain "lawful authority" to toss salad in the direction of the opposition's bench? Guardian Unlimited Football asked a leading sports law expert to find out.

"Throwing celery without lawful authority is assault," he explained. "The fans in question could only have receive permission from Tigana himself, who must give his express consent to throw celery at him.

"It doesn't have to be written consent, so long as he makes himself clear that he is willing for celery to be thrown at him.

"However, the fans would be allowed to throw celery at Tigana if they were defending themselves against him. Perhaps if he was chasing them with a pointed stick."

The BBC news site covered the actual story, but I can't find it, it might be in the regional part of the site. I'll post the link up when I find it. Ferguson knows about Richardson and his behaviour, it was the main reason he was sent to West Brom 'to grow up'.

There were racist comments sprayed onto the car, the tyres were let down, you basically couldn't have driven it without being arrested.

I think there are lifts up to there but you need a pass to use it , Ive never been up there myself so Im not sure.
Your lot were throwing celery at the newcastle fans below , I know its only celery and wont hurt anyone but to be fair it could have been anything so little wonder the stewards or police were a bit edgy.
I sympathise with it because the treatment of travelling fans at any club is usually very poor , I have no love for jobsworth stewards and even less for matchday police.

I was fishing abit with the 500 fans thing , last game of last season there couldnt have been more than 1000 up here which I thought was odd saying as you won the league the week before.

ah...the stewarding thing wasn't about the celery...that you could understand, but your stewards have a rep for being very zealous....some good friends of mine - middle aged, wouldnt hurt a fly family types, were threatened with ejection for standing up and shouting when Chelsea scored a couple of years ago - I hear its a bit of a regular occurence (the stewarding, not neccesarily the goal celebrations)

Breaking News.... DAVID DEIN is yet again responsible for more controversy at the FA. Apparently Scudamore (FA Chief Exec) was at Highbury yesterday, so clearly when Spurs asked for the match to be postponed Dein was flexing his muscles and putting pressure on him to make sure it didn't happen.

Rumour has it that he was also indirectly responsible for the delays in completion of Wembley stadium, although these are unconfirmed at this time.

It must be something to do with the Stewards in the North-east. Ours are some of the worst (Well maybe 2nd behind Man Utd) in the league.
