Last Epoch - aRPG (Kickstarter Demo available)

there's quite a few builds interested in so will most likely decide on char select screen tomorrow but it's probably warlock or necro as I've not played much Acolyte so far
going to take it fairly slow and watch the new cutscenes etc, plenty of time to speedrun campaign on 2nd or 3rd character and there's zero reason to rush with CoF

I think a few people in the more casual hours played will get a bit of a shock with trade prices first few weeks. The whales will be able to buy up anything they like pretty fast

With over 500 hours combined between Steam and when they offered a dedicated launcher and Linux client, I find the game to be fantastic. Constant improvements. The gameplay loop is solid I feel, skill trees are interesting and so are the build-defining uniques. I've gotten several times my money's worth, unlike a certain 4th installment of a game that has nothing to do with its name.
 
Yup, no idea what class I'm going to play first. Probably a mage/warlock type, I think. Looking forward to getting stuck into this tomorrow evening. Going to play in offline mode with CoF to begin with. I have a feeling the online servers are going to be blitzed tomorrow and at the weekend, similar to what's happening with Helldivers 2 at the moment.

at least you can pick the offline mode and carry on instead of the game being dead in the water.

I've had a look and the hammer paladin looks quite good, unsure if it still will be after the update though lol
 
Thanks. Can it play with a controller or is it mouse and keyboard only?

No problem :). I believe there is controller support, although in the developer Q&A it seemed like it was something they were still working to improve, so maybe not 100% perfect at launch. They also mentioned working on WASD movement but again, don't think it'll be in for 1.0 later today.
 
Apparently it does have full controller support and it's really well implemented, although I've yet to play the game as I'm waiting for 1.0 release so I'm going on forum posts.
Controller support was a bit flaky when I last played the beta several months ago, but patch 1.0 is meant to address this ( hopefully ! ). WASD is coming at a later date and won't be there at launch.
