Law on roadworks during early sunday morning clarification

I thought it was the roadworkers that had a 7am Sainsburys delivery. Anyway, although we can forgive them that, employing a guy to rev up a motorbike all day was going a bit far. Even for the council.
I can't even begin to comprehend what would happen if the roadworkers got a 7am Sainsbury's delivery :D

About half a mile away, a road is closed between 8pm-6am for 10-12 days for major resurfacing work. Has to be done that time as it’s a major road connecting two towns.

The people living on the road plus first few houses on the various side streets must have sleepness nights as the various vehicles are loud plus the reversing bleeps can’t be switched off.

not necessarily. I've had arguments with road workers even when I'm supposed to have authority over them. Some of them are ignorant obstinate <expletives> . I've seen working sequences ignored, safety ignored, no provision of temporary road crossings etc contrary to H&S and they just get arsey and sweary. Not all are bad, but I've seen enough first hand to know that it's a lottery. I recall being told to F'off when I pointed out to one team they hadn't provided any temporary crossings contrary to their agreed sequence and plan. How was this disabled chap (literally sat there in his wheelchair) supposed to cross a road to the station? Their response "not our problem. F'off". That ended up with the chap getting police who sent a fake one out with no real powers who in turn called the council. By the time council people returned to work the next day the worker had mysteriously vanished from the memory and no one could say who they were and the subcontractor said they couldn't recognise anyone of that description etc. Nothing happened, just a disabled guy got abused and discriminated against, and the company sailed into the night without any major consequences.

Lovely, I'm no fan of people holding a phone in someone's face as they approach but it's times like these I wished they had some kind of recording and had been taken further. Named/shamed, descrimination case.

There would be a riot over here if that happened on a Sunday at any time let alone 7am.

One of the joys of living in Germany. Sunday is Sunday.

Hmmm have they considered calling the SAS to resolve this situation?

A few weeks ago a bird perched on the edge of the roof of my house and made loads of noise at dawn, which was at WTF o'clock in the morning at the time. Or maybe the bird was perched on the sill of the window on that side of my bedroom. Either way it was only a couple of metres from my head in bed.

Should I have:

a) Called the police.
b) Shot it.
c) Nuked my house from orbit to be sure.

If only you could perceive the difference between an animal acting naturally with no human social awareness or people who are fully conscious of the effects of their actions?

I'm not sure what question you're asking me there, so I can't answer it.

Are you continuing the obviously ridiculous level of over-reaction in my post and suggesting that the appropriate course of action would be to shoot the bird rather than calling the police?

Are you sure they weren't in the room? That they didn't find a way in, something you missed?
