Laws on naked pictures of girls?

Was the same with Keira Knightley, she was 16 when she got naked in the film The Hole. I was always under the impression that you had to be 18 to appear in photographs and films naked.
 
the law is fap and you will go blind unless there over 18!

unless its of a pornographic nature 16+ is good enough i think

pretty sure you arent allowed in porno's at 16
 
It's 18 in the USA, as that's their age of consent.

I'd feel a little uncomfortable watching a 16 year old going at it though.

I think classified film are treated differently to porn as otherwise the new "extreme porn" laws would have made every single action film illegal overnight.

I think that's the crux of the matter. And I don't see any issue with pictures of naked kids as long as there are no sexual connotations and it's all innocent stuff.

Playing devils advocate here a little, but why would it feel uncomfortable?

If you were in the same room watching them that would be legal.

If they made a home movie, or you downloaded it on the net... you'd be breaking the law by watching it.

I do however think it's quite stupid that you can have sex at 16 in this country, whilst your not legally allowed to watch a porn movie at that age.

Personally I think the ages for sex/porn should be the same regardless of what's going on or whether it's being documented.

i never mentioned anything about anyone under the age of 16 stop trying to twist my words by suggesting i have pictures of naked kids in the name of art.

i clearly said

16 year olds can pose and appear nude for erotic pictures / films etc subject to parental permission.

Nude images can be shown to all ages subject to the intention and purpose - e.g. sex educaiton in school. For medical and educational purposes I dont believe there is currently an age where you are not allowed to see.

Further if they are for medical and educational purposes both males and females of all ages can be photographed and displayed. Bit hard to diagnose some child genitalia conditions if no pictures exist.

This country has gone Child Porn mad, the wife and I have lots of pictures of the kids, some of them *shock* *gasp* naked. Strangely enough my parents have pictures of me naked as a child, which were used to great effect at my 18th party.

Ultimately CP as with most crimes revolves around the intent as opposed to the action. Were the pictures taken for sexual gratification purposes? Are the pictures being used for sexual gratification?

I believe there have been a number of cases in the states were parties have been charged with child abuse laws for cybering (when both parties have been under 16).
